Ah, Monaco. Just like the scenery at Imola, I'm also a sucker for the Mediterranean views. 8)
Image

Monaco. The tradition, the uniqueness of the track, the tightness and unforgivableness of it...it's so unlike these modern soulless street circuits. And the best of all, it's not a night race (yet).

Obviously the highlight of the weekend will not be the GP, because it's guaranteed to be a snoozer (no rain expected this time). But that doesn't really matter, because we got a full circa 12-hour schedule of supporting races starting on Thursday. Even Porsche Supercup practice will be more interesting than F1 GP. :p
Image

So I'm mostly looking forward to F3 and F2 and obviously F1 practice and qualifying. Going to be a busy weekend. Hopefully Monegasque marshals have their trolleys ready. :D

Monaco baby 8)

The only race each season I can forgive the certain borefest, impossible to pass, nothing happening waste of 2 hours. Many fans want it gone, I would kick 15 other tracks before I would let them touch Monaco.

I knew something similar was used back in the past, I just don't remembered clearly until I remembered the 1995 CART season

Loving that McLaren. Hope it runs competitively again. Maybe Ferrari can get themselves in the mix as well, if LeClerc doesn't bin it.

I know the race might be processional, but it's Monaco. Qualifying is usually fantastic to watch, and there's always the chance of incidents to mix up the race. Failing that, you've got the Monaco scenery, then the high of knowing that Indy will follow.

It looks good, but i loved that Gulf one from a few years ago. Looked like a proper livery not a tribute.

all we need is changeable qualifying conditions to bring chaos to the race

jinxed, it won't happen

That would be ideal. Best chance of seeing a good race is a fucked up grid (whether or not it rains on race day).

An interesting result yes, not necessarily a good race.

Anyone who thinks a back to front grid at Monaco makes for a "good" race think again.

Remember Ricciardo without an MGU-K and nobody could pass him.

Hamilton in 2011 couldn't pass a Force India that had a puncture and front wing damage.

It's interesting that I can't recall wet qualifying since they moved to a single session. While races in 1996, 1997, 2008, 2016, 2022 and 2023 have had rain.

First wall hit at the weekend and its a very light tap lol

Red flag for the bits

100% of the incidents from F3 to now have been at Sainte Devote...crazy

Red flag for bits of Zhou's car every where

Leclerc picked up much of it. It could really hear it on that onboard.
