Verstappen has a clause in his contract that he can leave if Red Bull ditches Marko.

So the FIA tried to block the one track on which F1 itself organised the GP

He was right though after they had the manhole cover saga

Yeah sure, leave the team where he can win by 30 seconds at his leisure to head to one where he has to fight that car, which will carry on winning without him (just by not quite as much, judging by Perez performance, would still probably win at least 18 races with just him and the latest red bull junior tbh)

So we have one whistleblower trying to destabalise Red Bull and another trying to destabalise the FIA itself...

Is Jos going to try to take over Red Bull or become FIA president? Maybe Horner sees the way the wind is blowing at Red Bull and wants Ben Suleyem out of his post so he can go "motor racing" immediately without having to look for a new job....

The big question is, why is all this happening at once? Are people trying to stir up other stories to try and cover their own scandal?
Is Ben Sulyem behind the Red Bull scandal and Horner is dishing the dirt on his shady decisions behind the scenes as revenge?

Feels like they each have enough shit going on but I find it hard to believe in coincidences...

If it keeps going it might look like Niki Lauda when he left mid race weekend :8:

Bob Bell has left Alpine as well. Been there since the Benetton days. When such long term employees start rapidly leaving an organization, makes you wonder just how bad the core leadership must be.

Meanwhile, in one of the oddest weeks of following this sport even, another rumor that came up is that Jos has an affair with former personal secretary, and possible whistleblower, of Horner.

Man, a fictional series of this mess would be 10x more interesting than DTS
When I told my wife about this one, and she's been following the whole thing, her first thought was that Jos put her up to "seducing" Horner and leading him into sending those sexts.

Makes one think.

That was my first thought upon reading that rumor. Man, the hell is going on in the F1 world.

This is the only part of this recent drama I can imagine will actually make it to drive to survive

Red Bull don't play ball with it, Ben Sulyam will demand an edit that paints him in the best light, but Alpine had more episodes this season than anyone else so at least this will be well documented

Michael Andretti is already seen around Enstone, the only condition is to rebrand the engine like Mecachrome or Supertec

Why are you blaming the FIA? The FIA have given him an entry for next year.

TBH I rather have Andretti save Alpine than having some rich fuck buy it for their kid to race in.

How does that even work? I'm not the most woke person out there, but damn, this reeks of victim shaming/blaming/retaliation and I can understand the company/team making the decision and maybe I'm being naive but how does the wife get to give input into that?

Like I said, maybe I'm just naive as I'm blue collar and don't have any real experience with office politics or life, and only a call center and big box retail many years ago before transitioning to repair.

:edit: I make the woke comment because even a sometimes male chauvinist pig such as myself can see a problem with this situation and that's saying something.

I was thinking the same thing.

So, we have just gone from the driver's dad asking the boss out to the boss' wife asking someone out of a corporation. Just wow

The developments of this story just get weirder and weirder
