Funnily enough Martin Brundle is one of those people which has really surprised me. I'm really shocked by that - usually he's the voice of reason but this time he has gone full boomer.

But in things like ultra marathons or ironman events, none of them are piloting vehicles full of fuel capable of 330km/h and pulling 5G fifteen times in 90 seconds. They pass out, they hit the ground, not slam into a wall at a speed the human body cannot survive.

Saying that, the video of Stroll that was posted, don't think that's him passing out on the straight, thing he's just stretching or moving around. Pure speculation, but his fingers are still twitching and people when they pass out are usually doing something strenuous, not resting, which is what the drivers essentially do on straights, they're not under load.
