McLaren really are equal on pace with Red Bull this weekend!

Edit: I mean on pace with Verstappen.

Everyone struggling with the heat and track limits. Max sets a new fastest lap

Without the mandatory pitstops gap likely would be larger.

He probably cruised at the end but it wasn't the gap we're used to.

They all made the same amount of pitstops

Plus his last stop was slow but McLaren were genuinely closer at this race.

McLaren really is incredible. That´s 7 podium positions in the last 4 races (3 real and a sprint)

I think that's his point. The Red Bull is better at tyre management so in a normal race they would have either done one fewer stop or been able to use a softer mix of compounds which would have led to a larger gap.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Perez with his 4th (?!) track limits penalty which drops him to P10 and Zhou promoted to P9.

this race was a bit of a mix between several eras, we had a bit of 2016, some of 2011 and Dallas 84 debauchery

hope they don't turn this kind of race into normal

and judging by how Piastri was in the cooldown room I believe this one will become the least favourite destination for drivers

Verstappen now almost has twice the amount of points as the one in 2nd, and Red Bull as a team have already crossed that line.

As for the race: didn´t like it with all those silly pit stops. It ruined every on track battle because was it for position or not? Who had made his pit stop already and who not?

Hamilton made a rookie mistake. Again. He just does not know when his car has completely passed the other. He has made that mistake so often already in his career, and he just doesn´t learn.

And most important: will the statistics say that a Williams lead a lap? Or was that lost in pitstop timing?

he'll still claim that his cockpit is too much ahead in the car

Sargent retired due to dehydration compounded by having a flue earlier in the week.
