Monza, una gran tradizione

Ah, I just love Monza. I don't know why, but seeing cars doing just practice laps here always brings me a warm feeling. It's a track that fast cars are designed for.

After eventful Zandvoort round, can't expect nothing less from Monza. Especially feeder series races tend to be chaotic here. Looking forward to F3 and F2 particularly. F1 has been dull many years, and it needs a miracle to see another winner besides Max. Can Monza provide that miracle? We'll see.

It seems the long streak of wet weekends will end at Monza, as, currently, it seems to be a bone dry weekend. Only small chance for showers on Friday. But let's wait till Thursday for weather updates.

All we need is for Lawson to play the part of Jean-Louis Schlesser.

There have been a few surprise winners here recently. I wouldn't be surprised if Albon scored a top 5. Unfortunately, Red Bull are just as strong in a straight line, so it's hard to look past Max for the win.

Going to Monza tomorrow. First F1 race for me since 2010 Belgian GP.

Enjoy! How expensive is Monza? I would love to go one year (annoyingly I'm in Northern Italy the weekend after the race). Spa 2010 was also my last race - very wet weekend, but a good race.

Man, half the forrest around the back of the track has been decimated. By a storm in July apparently. Must have been big!

There were a few supercells in the area with downbursts and potential tornadoes.

Yeah. If someone has an airplane crash after Lesmo 2 approaching the old banking, it's gonna be the most gruesome fatal accident one can imagine. Don't wanna say "told you so".
