Well, better than 2021 and 2022 Dutch GP, but only because of the weather.
Monza next week.

Lawson 13th, Tsunoda tumbled down to 16th on the last lap.

must say McLaren got really fucked up because of the rain, they were clearly faster on dry conditions

Bit awkward having the singer sing the anthem *at* Max.

I never use this word on the internet because it's wildly overused/misused, but here we go: Charles Leclerc is overrated.

IMO Leclerc was a great driver. He managed to put Max as uncomfortable as nobody else did. However he's been in a scary way, comparable to Vettel.

Every great driver gets held back by the team at some point. But Leclerc seems to cope with it way worse than the others. The guy is going from a potential world champion to a slightly improved Alesi in front of our eyes.

I have to agree, he proved himself to be a great driver, but he is not handling the Ferrari clown show well.

However, that's the key. The team is a clown show and has chewed up a number of great drivers who have proven they still have it AFTER leaving Maranello.

I want to be pissed at his overdriving and choking like I was at Seb, but it's clearly the drivers feeling the pressure to deliver wins and titles with a shit sled car.

Thank God for the WEC and LeMans!

Weird to say but 8th is a disappointing result for Albon. Bad strategy move. He was often so much faster than those in front of him.

Great race behind Max. Although also great to see how he is better than everyone else in the dry, but truly embarasses his team mate and the rest when it rains.

I think that race is the closest you can get to Nurburgring 07 in the modern era

Biggest water dump over a track in years? Just smash the VSC button before 10 cars fly off the road

I'm certain more cars would've been in with Zhou if the VSC wasn't activated as quick as it was

On a related note, not sure if anyone here watches Uk Channel 4 coverage but they were really fucking annoying this race. They were DEMANDING immediate red flag the second it started raining, like 2/3 laps before anything significant happened that needed it
I know European motorsport is getting just as scared of water as American motorsport always has been, but it was up to the drivers and teams to get the right tyres on, not race control

FOM had a terrible weekend two.
Seargent had an almost identical crash 2 days in a row and they pretty much missed it both times.
Plus Russell/Norris, didn't really care that Lewis finally got past Lando after about 30 laps of trying, the main rainstorm incident being shown almost exclusively from the pitlane as if their external cameras had gone down (yeah, there were a lot of pitstops but people sliding around on slicks in the rain was also important, if Max had lost it at that point they'd have missed it and fucked it right up)

Good race, but also frustrating to watch.... :8:

It was a shame Williams did such a bad call (with both cars) because the potential for a great result was there indeed. What if he got a podium finish? That would have been great.

.14th straight win for Red Bull

.13th straight win for Honda RBPT (or Honda)

Vettel was at least able to stay in championship contention for a good part of 2017 and 2018. Leclerc, for as wildly quick as he is on a single lap, I don't think has the mental strength to handle the pressure cooker at Ferrari and sustain a championship battle over the course of an entire season especially against someone as cutthroat and mistake-free as a Verstappen. At least at this stage of his career, fortunately he's still young and has time on his side.

Leclerc's Ferrari career has Vettle Mk2 written all over it.
