A mixed grid, not that it matters. DRS will just restore the typical running order within 10 minutes.

Prime opportunity for Perez to scamper off into the distance though, so this race could be good for the championship.

Some people think I just post grumpy rants, LOL!!! They probably don't wander around the rest of the forums...

So, I'm posting this here:

Will F1 surpass this race's fight for the win? Or any other motorsport series racing this weekend can be better than this one?

More great and uplifting posts on this tread that I made exactly to balance the amount of negative posts on this forum:

What's the reason they didn't restart the session? Can't be the tight support race schedule. There was time enough for an outlap, I don't understand. Don't remember any other time f1 not restarting after a red flag with enough time left on the clock for more flying laps.

I like the mixed up grid though

That Leclerc guy makes too many mistakes. They should kick him out.

Said this as a joke, but jeez. It really is one mistake after the other.
It sucks, as he's a good guy, and I really wanted him to succeed at Ferrari. We saw this with so many drivers throughout history, the pressure is immense in that seat and the team and car are letting him down so he overdrives it often.

I think Hamilton needs a good car to unlock his ability. This Mercedes is a dog and he looks quite mortal all of a sudden. Before the 2022 rules package I would have said yes, I don't like him 100%, but I'd like to see him take on the challenge. But this year (and last) has exposed him badly.

It would NEVER happen, but I'd like to see Max in a dog car/broken team to see just how good he really is.

At the end of the day, the truth is Leclare could be rock solid and make zero mistakes and the ONLY way we can win over full race distance is for RB to fall apart. If we can make a car that doesn't cook the tires or have PU issues, maybe we could work on strategy. Good car/sound strategy and I think Charles would be more consistent with his own form.

This is NOT 1997/8/9 going into 2000, on the cusp of greatness. It feels more like 1990/91 into 92/93, the trailing off of a potentially good car/driver and the arrival of new management who we hope will be the foundation to build upon. Unfortunately that transition took another 7 long years to pay off, and there's no Wünderkid this time to lead the troops.

I hope I'm wrong.

Let's see if after he earned a new nickname he stops doing these mistakes.

There was enough time for an outlap of only one car. For the whole 9 cars have time for a final lap, they would need some more 30 or 40 seconds I think

funny that this is the kind of formula that F1 is looking forward to scramble at least the top10. Turn Q3 into a shootout and you have only one shot at pole in a crowded track

I wonder if Leclerc would have nearly as many poles if we still had one-lap qualifying.

Oh my God not another utterly cringeworthy driver entrance. Did they not learn their lesson after Austin?

Oh god. Dutch tv is literally cumming live on tv over the driver intro. Just like sprint races it comes across as being paid or forced to be positive about it.

Imagine some execs were sitting in a boardroom somewhere and decided that is a good idea. If the race sucks, it will be well deserved

It remains a bit weird to see the guy who screwed others in qualifying start in front of them. Even if you’d argue they could have set a time in their first run
