The shorter time before the first official session is playing a huge role in this terrible quali. Well done Liberty!

What a time to hold qualifying. Most of Europe and America are at work now.

Indeed. Haven't missed a qualifying for ages, but thanks to sprint weekend, it was inevitable. :slaphead:

At least Friday qualifying in Austrian and Belgian rounds take place in the summer holiday season in July. And Losail, COTA and Sao Paulo are later in the evening for Europeans. Anyway, hopefully they have swapped (scrapped) sprint qualifying schedule by then.

Why was today qualy for the main race? It would make more sense to do qualy for the sprint today and tomorrow qualy for the main race. But 2 qualy sessions just sucks anyway, as does 2 races.

But so far, qualifying for European sprint races on Friday have always been around 7 in the evening, when at least European viewers were home. Guess it wasn´t possible today with the time difference.

given how everybody was commited to work and couldn't watch the sessions today you don't expect to see Liberty fetching their prized low attention span gimmick to a friday slot

I'm half-expecting them to schedule Sunday GP to 8am slot in the future, just so they can compare average sprint race and GP viewership and and conclude that "modern audience prefers sprint races".
