Good to see Alonso is still competitive, so it wasn't just a fluke podium in Bahrain.
Alpine faster than Mercedes and Ferrari? I wouldn't mind some variation in the top 6.
Rest of the group seems pretty tight. Q3 and Q2 might be interesting tomorrow.

Red Bull should be worried if Alonso can outpace Perez, especially if the limits on their aero development start to bite later in the season.

I would absolutely all be for a Max vs Fernando battle this season, neither of them is gonna lift out of anything if they're side by side, it'd take about 2 races for it to go toxic lol

Alonso loves being the heel, as he stated on DtS, Max doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks about him...it would be one of the most explosive rivalries in history

Make it happen plz, racing gods :P

Alonso must points race every single weekend. He has to do a Prost from 1986.

I can see the podium being Max-Perez-Alonso for a while to come tbh

When Fernando starts beating Perez to 2nd, the Mexican will have to worry for his seat

Stroll Sr will prevent it from being an actual fight. Give it a few races and they'll start sabotaging Alonso to make Strol Jr. look faster.

Nah, only if he isn't helping Red Bull win the constructors. Who would replace him? Ricciardo in a confidence low?

How long until Alonso and Max collide at T1 and that blows up?

I can't wait *grabs popcorn*

Still gonna get those dangerous moments when someone on a hot lap happens upon a car on a slow lap.

Is Damon Hill starting to lose his marbles? He sounds absolutely clueless on commentary.

I’m starting to wonder if teams should be fined for not warning their drivers on time a faster car is approaching.

Or are we really going to wait until it goes badly wrong?

It's the FIA, they'll wait until a big crash happens as a result.

They'll just blame the drivers because white flag...

"If it hasn't happened before, don't think about it". It's a bianchi-lesson again, even though they did have many antecedents of it (Brazil '03, Nurburgring '07).
We can only hope when it happens, it won't be a fatal one.

weird is that massive crashes usually drivers get away unscathed

if something happens I'm quite sure they'll knee jerk it all and go back to qualifying with just one lap
