Those underwings that say Krontic and HOR are ugly as sin and need to be snapped off immediately.....

the concept seems ok, until one of the top teams find a loophole that makes it weird and ugly

I just like that the FW is visually more narrow, even if it is just because the endplates were moved inward on the wing elements. It's my least favorite proportion on these cars since at least 2009.

I agree that the "Bargeboards" having multiplied is not an attractive feature, but overall it is a good development of the current ruleset.

I also agree that one or more of the top teams will rape the regs and create a horrible looking derivative of what came before and spank the rest of the grid with it (Red Bull)

Hopefully Ferrari will once again save our eyes with a beautiful, if not misguided, concept that will fail halfway through the first season of these regs.

I have started to watch the new Brawn GP documentary yesterday, and it´s good!
All the key figures of 2009 tell their story, lots of actual footage of the races, no over the top dramatics like Drive To Survive. I´ve just seen the first 2 hours and it was never boring.

Does it tell anything new for people who saw the season live back then? I don't remember it as a particularly exciting season besides the novelty of a new team winning everything in the first half and then hanging on to win the title.

They would have been further ahead if they could have developed the car all season

It's been 15 years since it all started, so I didn't remember all the details anymore. It's always fun to see what happened behind the scenes, since most of that doesn't reach the viewers when they are watching another not so exciting race. And it shows how little budget they really had.

Plus it's a good and honest docu on F1 so it is always worth watching.

This is confusing when Call of Duty 3 was all over the F1 Podcast this week (it was funny hearing Tom Clarkson voice over an ad about a game he clearly had no idea what it entailed, made me stick around and listen to an advert I'd usually skip lol)

F1 needs to synch its sponsorships across all its output lol

The generic name is purportedly so that the signed title sponsor (or sponsors) can have greater prominence.

They could have become an instant fan favorite if they went with Minardi

I'd say Paul Stoddart would appear out of nowhere demanding that sweet ip money

I never cared for the name Alpha Tauri, but this is...
Of all the possible names they could think of, this is what they came up with? Even Elon Musk is better in naming his kids.

took the curiosity and the company is still attached to Paul Stoddart in the UK, interesting to see the former name before becoming Stoddart's team

Drivers are calling for Vegas to moved away from Abu Dhabi due to travel/time differences. Apparently next year it's going to be a triple header at the end of the season as well 8O

I think given how cold Vegas was, they could comfortably move it to the summer months, say after Canada? which would help with temperatures and if they move the race time a bit earlier, you might get the day to night effect which would be super badass. Then again there are drivers who are wanting Vegas to be the season finale, which given how good the race was, I'm all for! But I'm guessing that UAE oil money will be paying F1 a premium to be the finale

I have been on a statistics binge recently, to find comprehensive analyses that identify the fastest F1 cars. Especially by taking lap/stint gap to the rest of the field into consideration.

Kevin Turner from AutoSport appears to have presented such data in his articles. Most notably his MOST SUPERIOR CARS, but is behind a pay wall. Is there anyone who may have access to this? :whistling:

1992/3 Williams - Mansell and Prost would often qualify multiple seconds ahead of the non Williamses/Senna

I just dawned on me that it's that dominance that ultimately killed Senna. He'd never have been in that fateful car in 1994 otherwise
