Is that an ad or did they actually have something shocking to announce?

Any news about sprint races. Is it still possible they are scrapped? Oh lord, let it be so.
And any news about improving wet racing or fixing half-points rules? If this year we get Spa-like conditions in Spa again, or somewhere else, will they do 1 lap behind the SC and give points for that.

the antivax wackjobs talk about tribunals for the doctors, researchers and government but maybe we should start those tribunals for everyone in favor of sprint races :whistling:
(joking in case secret service is reading here)

I'm not that all against sprint races, the problem is the conditions they happen

if they could use special soft tires just for that and have no limit to push it flat out (and prone to driving errors)

Best thing of sprints is how they made the field closer and gave drivers more race practice. All 3 events had good racing on sunday.

I guess that's the only punishment left to dole out to his F1 career after that new angle of Japan 1989

Now that's one livery can go spectacularly well, or disastrously bad

Apparently, Prost ended his tenure with Alpine on pretty bad terms

I don't even think people would've thought Senna was coming from so far back, our eyes and brains are just used to 21st century braking distances which are a lot, lot shorter but back then you could divebomb from a lot further back (and indeed, had to due to less efficient brakes) and succeed in passing.

They should restrict braking through technical regulations. The cars would still have the same acceleration and cornering speed so they would seem just as fast, but just make them need 50% more distance or twice the distance to stop. There is probably some way to engineer this without making the brakes unreliable or unsafe.

There used to be enough time for a lot of things to happen under braking. Nowadays it's just a blink of an eye and you can't really make the difference there, unless you're already alongside. Some corners became unsuitable for passing.

Budget cap + limited amount of engines + more races and then almost doubling that number by adding sprint races is a worse combo than Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston.

There was regular talk about doing this in the late 90s and early 00s, but for some reason everybody doing so forgot that Alex Zanardi actually did use steel brakes for a period in 99 and it didn't make a lot of difference, performance-wise.
