So I guess ricciardo is a bit safer now.

Otmar confirmed that piastri will be in F1 in 2023 but declined to say for what team

I think it's fair to say Piastri will be in a Williams-Renault, unless Nando decides to retire for good. I don't think he'll retire, he seems to be enjoying himself a lot this season.

Surprised Australia managed to get this, I thought the Arab countries were offering enough cash to have the first race locked up forever. Wonder how it went down - Australian's came up with more cash, Arabs are running out or Liberty suddenly decided to respect F1's history?!?

No, the point was very clear unless you purposely avoid it - there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, and so criticism from within the system being criticised is inevitable however you want to spin it.

Vettel has a huge platform from which to raise awareness and he wouldn't have it without the money from companies like Aramco.

That's completely backwards. If you can't see the utter hypocrisy of it all then you are beyond help.

Honda Earth Dream just called. They did the unthinkable. They combined irony AND hypocrisy at the same time.

Flying Jenson and Rubens halfway around the world just to tell people by turning off their TV's they can help the planet. Ballsy move lol.

Yes! This one was definitely both, and the key difference is that a huge corporation with actual systemic power is not the same as one mildly-hippy German.

they should had set earlier on the concorde agreement that half the races should be hosted in Europe, and non traditional venues should pay for those who are a staple for at least 35 years

We need a breakaway series. One which only races on traditional circuits in the middle of nowhere, and another which races on city streets amid all the bling-bling.

Oh wait, it's already there: FE.

You seem to life in a fundamentalist fantasy world, where there's only the Dark Side or the White Side. 50 shades of gray, they do exist.

I wonder how much of the hosting fee goes to hire people to act as enthusiastic crowd for the shots during overtakes that go missing on broadcast

Latest rumor is that a legal advisor for Wolff until last year is now working for the FIA and gave Wolff/Mercedes insider info/tips.

Source (in German): https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/for ... -montreal/

If true, its about time to finally ban Wolff since he already gotten away scott free with the pink Mercedes.

so your upset that mercedes got away with something that was legal according to the rules at the time? haas was doing the same with ferrari, but nobody cared since ferrari sucked and so did haas as a result.

Haas used a loophole that since then has been closed.

Stroll gotten an entire design which is illegal (otherwise RBR would do the same with AT).

received from mercedes? according to every journalistic source i've seen available, they were simply smart enough to stop copying red bull's high rake design and switch to the mercedes philosophy which would obviously suit the customer parts they were purchasing. it gives mercedes no advantage or technical insight to even give them design tips since the design that was copied was from the previous year.

the haas loophole is the same one racing point used, so i don't see your point

according to the evening standard (seems like a lewis friendly publication, so take it with a grain of salt) mercedes has been using lewis' car to experiment in an attempt to improve the car https://au.sports.yahoo.com/f1-golden-era-danger-max-093137161.html

"While teammate George Russell has more generally been given the safer setup, Hamilton has offered himself up as a guinea pig for Mercedes to test out and try to remedy the ills of the car."
