To continue the futile gesture, I'd say it's rained at some point every day here over the last few weeks, but the rain is now apparently stopping until next monday. Where no doubt, it'll rain from mon-fri again before clearing up for the Grand Prix of Stowe School or whatever the hell they're calling the 2nd one |

It will probably be a decent GP 50 seconds behind the two Mercs. |

Perez is in isolation and being retested because of an inconclusive Covid-19 test. |

So if it comes back positive, Vandoorne or Senor Oops would take his place. |

Perez flew to Mexico last week to pick up his family, which didn't seem like a good idea to begin with and now... The scuttlebutt is that the test is positive but they want a second test to make sure because of the implications. |

False positives seem pretty common. Wouldn't be surprised if there are two false positives... But seeing as how he went to Mexico... Let's just say that was not the smartest move as I've seen tons of flights from there to here have confirmed cases. |

Apparently he met with a small group of his mechanics so they've been isolated and tested as well. |

Good to see that Lewis and Grosjean have made up. Glad that Romain apologised and admitted he was wrong: https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/15093 ... neel-uturn |

The bigger story is probably that, even if he comes back negative the second time, Perez should not be taking part in either Silverstone race because Mexico is not on the exemption list. He has already broken the quarantine he was supposed to be undertaking, so TVP might be interested. EDIT: Even if he went to Spain first and came back after midnight on Sunday, the same still applies. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus ... nal-travel |

Not good. Have to imagine this is likely to be only the first of several over the course of this season. A real shame for Perez, hope he recovers quickly and it's not a severe case. And unfortunately he's likely to miss next weekend's race too, even if he has a mild case, due to the protocols before he can be considered safe to return. |

isn't Gutierrez away for more than 3 years? maybe he doesn't have a superlicense anymore that's why he'll be picked up |

Some noise around Hulkenberg but I'll be surprised if it's not Gutierrez. Will be interesting to see what he can do in a good car at short notice. Imagine it'll be the equivalent of a weekend like Di Resta's at Hungary three years ago. Anything better would be quite impressive |

I hope it's Vandoorne. He still has a lot of recent racing experience compared to Guttierez. But Guttierez might be prefered by the Mexican sponsors of RP if his superlicense thing works out... |

Vandoorne has commitments in Berlin, although maybe they are flexible. Regardless, the choice is obvious; |
