*sigh*

Let us not get our hopes up.

90% of the time it's the worst race of the season.
10% of the time there's a crash caused SC at a random moment to throw a spanner in people's plans and making for a great race
Or it rains. (this was more in the pre VSC era though tbh)

Still, I expect Formula 2 and Formula 3 to be fun around here....

Say what you like, but it's time this race reaches the end of the road

Just about the only track that ain't plagued with a lot of Tarmac run-offs.

And here's where you are wrong from the start, Monaco GP is not a race, it's an event :)

This will be like the last venue that disappears from the F1 calendar.

People forget that it's still a huge challenge to drive around this track, corner after corner, lap after lap. That's because cars and drivers have become too perfect, too reliable. People rarely crash out of the race on their own in recent years, except for the odd car to car collision.

If nobody hits the wall, nobody ever crashes from the lead or from a podium/points position, then of course people get desensitized to the challenge of this track and it becomes another shitty procession in a nice wrapping.

It's always great to see it again, and always have my hopes up, but for the love of motorsports please make it a crash/retirement-fest so that some poor bloke outside the top 6 has a shot at a podium

It's a great warm up for The Greatest Spectacle in Racing. Both have heritage and special meaning for everyone in the motorsports world.

And there's always some cool special liveries.

Radio issues more than anything

Quote:
With Haas having no way of telling its drivers that they were wanted back in the pits, after they failed to spot pit board messages, it approached the FIA for help.

A Haas spokesman said: "We can't communicate with drivers. The FIA stepped in so we could get cars back to pits as pit boards weren't doing the business."

There was a nice bounce over the swimming pool chicane and huge slide by Gasly earlier, that's pretty much been the highlight so far.

Qualifying might be exciting, but I can't see anything happening in the race, unless it rains. Most weather sites say it'll be dry, but there was one that predicted a thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon. We can hope...

Hoping for the thunderstorm to fly east from Indiana, to straight over Monte-Carlo.

Is the Formula Renault streamed online anywhere? I'd assumed Sky F1 showed all the track sessions now but it's not listed
