Another useless and ridiculous race.

I don't wonder why tribunes are half-empty.

All in all, the race was not that bad.

Kimi was interviewed by Finnish commentary team.

"Kimi, how do you feel about leaving Ferrari?"

"bwoah, I'm not particularly sad."

It's official, Vettel has Brexited any notion of intelligence...

I hope LeClerc utterly annihilates him next year and he fucks off.

So pushing a car slightly off track when rejoining (stupid, but not deliberate) is a 5 second penalty, but hitting another car broadside and damaging it, or even worse, swerving right in front of another car in the braking zone and damaging his front wing and nearly killing you both isn't penalty worthy?

Great consistency, FIA

What Max did was probably penalty worthy but what Vettel and especially Magnussen did was definitely worse, and you let that slide.
At this stage it just looks like you penalised max based on his reputation, but the Ferrari and Ferrari-powered cars are exempt from your rulebook :slaphead:

And of course Cunter Steiner is defending Mags...

There is absolutely no fucking way that anyone with any semblance of intelligence should think no action taken was the right call with Mags. That was fucking dangerous.

I have no idea how Mags wasn't penalised. It wasn't even just a little bit late. With a greater speed difference or wheel to wheel contact, LeClerc would be upside down in the first corner run off. And he does it all the time! Why is this kind of move never punished? Far worse than Max's penalty at the chicane.

I felt a little bit sorry for Max. Whilst the penalty was probably fair, it was nice to see a driver actually trying to make the corner. He could have easily straight lined the chicane and may have gotten away with staying ahead of Kimi (although I'd argue that Kimi was close enough to force him into that mistake).

I guess FIA goes to the logic that you are aware of contact damage, but let's see if they are gonna be lenient once Mags sends another car flipping

I'm beginning to worry about what may happen dring the next Mexico Grand Prix, and its long straight line...

I sure hope so. Ferrari were dumb to make Vettel the #1 driver. He's no Schumacher, that's for damn sure!

Besides Michael, Kimi is still the only driver to win a championship in a Ferrari since 1979. :p :p :p

I thought the same. His decision to try and make the chicane ultimately lead to his penalty.

I watched the onboards of the Alonso and Stroll incident and while I understand and agree with the penalty for Stroll, I fail to see why Alonso feels aggrieved for the penalty he received. He could have followed the track through the second chicane but instead cuts the course and ends up with a huge advantage over the cars around him.

Max knew straightlining the chicane would mean he'd have to give the position up to Kimi. He'll never admit it but he came back on knowing full well where Kimi would be, and parked his car on the racing line to stop him.

.I'm quite sure there's one Ferrari champion in the grid today.

I think if Max had put a bit more steering lock on I'd have more sympathy, even if he'd given it a bit more throttle so it understeered out to the edge of the track anyway. As it was, the amount of lock he used I'm pretty sure he was aiming for the edge of the track and knew exactly what he was doing.

FIA seriously brushing it off as unfortunate timing and not a block... :slaphead:

For all their talk on safety are they really going to turn a blind eye to pretty much the most dangerous lineup on the grid? What has to happen, a driver getting hurt or worse?

If it were Magnussens first offence, then ok, no penalty, these things can happen. Except that it wasn't his first.

Naah flying over him into the catch fence so the car gets ripped apart in 10000 pieces like Kubicas BMW.
And yeah getting hurt or death, like it happened to Jules. Not that im praying that something like that happens, but yes, when someone died in F1 there were big changes then in regulations, chassis, design safety etc... Senna, Bianchi.

But if all drivers know how Kmag drives, simply do the Vettel trick. The one he did on Bottas in Spain. The one behind who is about to overtake can change multiple lines. And lets see then If Kmag will block them all. As he is allowed to do one block.
But this his late block will result sooner or later in big crash from Kmag. But he never does that to a Ferrari, Mercedes,Red Bull when they are about to overtake him, to the rest of grid yes

Max's antics in Azerbaijan prove the FIA doesn't really enforce that.
