I wonder what Lotus changed in their car inside the pits, maybe something for the race?

Do you want to talk about who regrets what, Mr. Whitmarsh?

This is great for Lewis and Mercedes, but let's not talk too soon. This is just one quali session afterall.

I know, I know, but I've spent the whole winter reading about how much of a mistake it was for Lewis to move, how Mercedes wouldn't offer him anything like what McLaren could, and it feels nice to see those people muted.

The Mercedes is fast. The McLaren is not as fast. Those two facts can be ascertained through not just performance but statements from key personnel.

And Button just told Sky his rear tyres are fucked.

Well, he used the word 'destroyed', but I think it means the same.

Button is so down in the dumps, that car is just rubbish currently.

I saw someone on my Facebook posting one of those 'funny' memes with Hamilton after his practice shenanigans: "Join Mercedes they said. It will be fun they said."

So far, I'd say that's a fact, indeed.

It's a lot warmer in Melbourne right now. Not sure if it will rain or not, it's was only forecast for the morning. And I just said hi to Marc Gene, casually walking through the paddock amongst thousands of people. I must have been the only one who recognised him under that Ferrari cap :)

Compared to the weather we had the last two weeks actually its not haha. Weathers coming south to north off the bay all day so dont be suprised if theres drizzle later on. Either way the last half hour of the grand prix will be quite dark.

How the rule apply here? Because it was partly wet, can't they start with whatever tires they want to? Or if you set your best time with a slick tire, then you have to start with it(for the Q3 drivers obviously)

Also, Rosberg was apparantly on a wet setup as his top speed is quite lower than Lewis', so weather will have a big impact on his chances
