Khodr emailed me to say that everyone in the paddock is angry at the British media for misrepresentation of the situation in Bahrain. Lots of them were laughing at Force India too for pulling out of FP2.

our reporter said she saw some 10 police cars in the way to the track, which was the same used by BBC, and she said BBC was blatantly exagerating to 80 or so

Plus, she said the country didn't seem to be under chaos as some make out. According to her, it looks normal as any other country

Here it was told from Manama downtown to the track there police cars at each 100 meters.

normally I don't agree with some crazy guys on atlas but I also think the tires are making it too much of a Lottery.

Whichever team, flukely or not, achieve the perfect setup for the tires which fits for the track layout in question, will perform very greatly in the race and create some false pecking order status

Again, this race has left me feeling that I cannot wait for the Monaco & Canadian Grand Prixs.

Alonso astounds me. Somehow he has that PoS Ferrari in 5th in the championship.

Is it really false when you get the job done better than the others? Tyres may be the most important thing to get right, but the grid is closer than it ever has been, which means a few tenths lost drops you down the order.

Hell, in addition to my previous post, I'm even looking forward to the Spanish Grand Prix.

Wonder if Lewis or Mark can make it 5 from 5?

There is only one reason why Alonso is 5th.

If Malaysia were removed from the standings, he would be 8th and 35 points down on Vettel. And it's not as though Sebastien has won every race by 10-15 seconds.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I think that in certain situations differences in tyre compounds or wear can be just as bad as DRS in terms of creating somewhat easy passing in which the car been passed can't do anything to defend there position.

Tyres are always going to be an important factor as is tyre preservation, Just think the past 2 races its been a bit too extreme.

Got quite a few videos from the weekend that I'll be uploading overnight including that & other bits from Sky's post race analysis.

If Vettel hadn't stuffed into Karthikeyan, he'd have 12 more points
If McLaren hadn't turned into the Cirque du Soleil today, they'd have more points
If Lotus decided to think of a strategy for the first 3 races, they'd have more points.

The fact is that through sheer bloody determination, Fernando is still in the title hunt.

He isn't in the title hunt, though, not unless Ferrari find an extra second between now and Barcelona.

As good as Fred is, as well as he is driving that catastrophe, he cannot compete under normal circumstances with the Mercedes or the Lotus. If this keeps up, Rosberg, Raikkonen and Grosjean will pass him, and if Schumacher finds some luck he'll be threatening him too.

As I said, the point is that I think some teams are fluking into perfectly fitting the conditions. You don't see any team with much consistency on it, which leads me to thing of it being casual rather than pure competence, in some cases

Australia: Mclaren the fastest and RBR and Williams very fast
Sepang: Sauber the fastest in wet/dump or dry, Lotus quite fast too on dry
China: Mercedes the fastest
Now Bahrain: RBR and Lotus miles ahead of the field when they didn't have this pace a week ago

No. They've denied this...

Meanwhile, Sky News sound disappointed with the fact nothing happened:

"The Bahrain Grand Prix has taken place without incident, although there is fear that protests will continue later today"

I'm inclined to agree with Khodr about British exaggeration of the situation. It's far from perfect (see Force India's experiences), but it isn't the war zone that Sky is making out.

Exactly, if they went through one of the dodgiest areas in Bahrain (Sitra) as they were rumoured to have then this could have happened any year.
There was even an article before the 2010 race about a threat to the race but there wasn't this mass hysteria.

On another note, i'm impressed with Hamilton for not flipping out in the post race interview despite having two horrific pit stops. Last year he would have accused his pit crew of being racist. Shows how much he's matured over the winter.

Anyway, yeah Lewis was a bit more mature. But there will be a point where he cracks either outside or inside the cockpit, it usually happens at some point in the season. I get the feeling he'd have expected a win from the first four races.

BBC showed what happened to Ricciardo - his wing was damaged as Kovalainen was too optimistic at T10 on Lap 1.

The fact he was already 16th when he lost his wing says more than the wing loss really.

Aww balls, David Coulthard was commentating during THAT Hamilton moment ruining the chances of us getting another epic Ben Edwards commentary. :(

Kudos to the BBC for that one, makes it worth watching the races twice :)

If I had access to the on-board feed, it'd be three times :p
