Oh come on, we have seen races in Brazil without all the stupid aids that were a lot better.

That was almost as good as the Brands Hatch pigeon. I know you shouldn't laugh, but the way it goes flying up in the air made me chuckle.

lol if this was a 2005-2009 race everyone would have given it a 7 or something, you guys are getting spoiled allready :p

Yepp, people forgot the past so easily. Plus are crying because it didn't rain, that was a killer, but then the dry race wasn't bad. At least not for 3. I think the TBK forum don't have an opinion, more like follow the trails that the opening post has build, and when that is a fan of Vettel that looks like nothing else matters when he doesn't win or even worse, abandon in the second corner, you get this results.

I watched the race again and I didn't find it too bad either. I'd change my opinion, giving a 7 instead of 4. People raise too many expectations when race is in Interlagos, this is wrong. Perhaps because of the crazy races we've had in the past, the guys think brazilian GP provides mandatory exciting events. And these expectations for rain (I know it's also my fault because I've said it was going to rain) is just stupid. It basically assumes that If it doesnt rain in Interlagos, then the GP is not worth of happening when actually Interlagos circuit is simple but much better than half of nowadays F1 schedule - made of artificial high tech circuits that doesn't have any spirit, neither passion in the crowd. So, through this view, this need of rain at every Brazilian Grand Prix is a derogatory demand, an attempt to underestimate the GP - I mean, it's only worth when it rains. I don't deny the race was boring, but this is a casual viewer concern, as they're hungry for excitement.

I will always remember Webber as a guy who was with Jaguar, never showed anything but a good finish at his first GP in Australia with Minardi, and now scored few good results due to having the best car on the grid, but still way behind his team mate. But Red Bull is happy with him, he's like the Barichello of Ferrari in the early 2000s. What if Kimi joined Red Bull ? Now THAT would be awesome.

Webber may be 3-0 behind Vettel in the 3 seasons they have been together, but this is the first season he's really been beaten in any meaningful way. They were pretty nip and tuck throughout 2009 and 2010. Barrichello at no time was anywhere near Schumacher.

I had hoped that Webber would win the title in '10, because I could just tell that if Vettel got some consistency, he'd be pretty tough to beat in '11.. and that's pretty much what wound up happening.

This is not meant to be serious, Tiago Leifert is a reporter that's always making jokes of sports. Anyway, RIP little bird...

But I have serious doubts If its a bird or not, coz to me looks like debris, possibly from Bruno Senna's car.

Webber was awesome in the 03 Jag.

Something the cameras missed

Webber: I made a mistake on the second lap - the same error my Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel made later in the race - by driving on to the kerbs at Turn Four and running wide. I lost a second there but the first stint was pretty good after that.

Even the 2002 race wasn't that bad

Post subject:  Re: Rate the 2011 Brazilian Grand Prix

I'd not give this race that low a score. However, I should give the FIA a reminder that the reason why the dry race entertainment had dropped so sharply comparing to spring or even summer is that the Pirelli tyres are now lasting too long. Softer tyres can last for half a race now. Change that or it is a recipe for processional racing.
