Read up to there and stopped. Please. It's almost the equivalent of using an article in the Daily Sport to justify an argument.

Ferrari were caught with their pants down and paid for it. Boo-hoo. The fact that Fernando himself was angrier with his team than with the stewards and race control speaks volumes about who really was at fault.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

When I saw the move live, I immediately thought that Alonso took advantadge using the off-track. He was stupid enough to not see this way and deserved a penalty. The question for me was to which penalty to apply and giving the position back is the most natural but as Kubica retired very shortly afterwards that could not been done after a while and I first thought that a 5 or 10 seconds penalty would fit because that's what he would have lost giving the position back.

Now it's word against word and by Whiting's version, the drive through was correct imo. By Ferrari's version, it was too harsh. The only one who can't say a thing is Alonso because he did some stupid thing based on greed by not giving the position back immediately.

I thought the race was fairly decent so I gave it an 8. A good few overtakes and a lot of drama :D
