They could also hand out points for pole.
Just waiting for Manor to run with enough fuel for 1 fast lap and a formation lap.

It also seems that we only ended up with this new qualifying system to stop Bernie pushing through his success penalty proposal.

Sometimes I wonder what F1 would look like nowadays if Bernie had been deceased since the mid-90's. Obviously, his impact isn't anything comparable to that of FIA, but still.

That's how Bernie forces change everytime. He comes with a ridiculous idea to force the teams in making a little bit less ridiculous change. It's a silly way to get change, but the teams are incapable of doing it by themselves. It would be intetesting to see if F1 will see any kind of change if Bernie is gone.

According to Bernie, F1 is shit because the big teams can influence the rules too much

He's right, but didn't he and Max create this situation?

Hard to pinpoint an exact point, but Indianapolis 2005 could be seen as a trigger.

So this might be a long shot but Stewart-Haas just switched to Ford for 2017 in NASCAR. A sign for the future of Haas F1?

So Ford and Formula 1 is a closed book, locked and key melted and then thrown away?

Ford had their gory in the 70's and 80's. It's like Motörhead, they're not coming back.

Has there been any word yet on what Channel 4 are doing seeing as there's only a few weeks until the season starts? I know they've announced which races they'll be showing live, but there's been nothing on who'll be presenting/commentating (other than Coulthard), and they dont even have their own F1 website or twitter account or anything like that

And today a Channel 4 F1 Twitter account appears
