What's worse: 2007 Honda or 2015 McLaren/Honda?

Don't forget the 111 degrees Renault of 2001.

Definitely 2015 McLaren/Honda.

McLaren developed quite well in 2004 with some podiums, a pole and even the victory in Spa.

That was a good concept. By mid-late season it was starting to be a good engine, the development was going well. It's just a shame the future rules dictated that it was no longer worth developing the concept and was therefore dropped.

True, Fisi did well at a track like Spa.

But back then they were allowed to develop the engine more easily I think?

Did they go back to 90° in 2002? I thought it still was the 111° concept.

Just like Montreal, totally clean Friday. Not even a single spin.
Well, luckily wet weather should provide some action tomorrow.

So only spins are worth calling action? I thought it was excellent with a lot of people sideways, even Lewis.

Oh yeah. Open and free development through the season. The concept of the engine was a lower center of gravity which allowed for better aerodynamics and packaging. It was a risky decision but 2001 was a development year and the last under Benetton before Renault were returning as a full works team in 2002.

Me too. Loads of sideways action, many people off the track and in the gravel. Even the last two corners alone caught pretty much everyone out.

Producers saw Austrian GP and thought it was Australian?

My unofficial definition for "action" is anything that is worthy for screenshots or videos. Drivers braking late because you can use tarmac runoff area is not action but a problem of F1. There should gravel in every corner like <2003.
Oversteering looks great, though.

2004. They kept the wide angle block in 2002 and 2003.

Don't believe they did. From what I remember the 111 was only used in 2001. Will need to look back to confirm though.

EDIT - looked up and I'm wrong. 111 was used through to end of 2003.

25 place grid penalty for Button for a complete power unit change.

40% chance of rain for FP3.
