while I enjoy these night scenes, it is actually pretty pointless. The one selling point Bahrain had when it entered F1 was that it was in the desert, with sand all around it. OK, maybe not in the track confines, but at least one was certain desert was around.

Now by blacking things out, there is nothing much there, except Arabian kitsch.
