I saw one last year that had fallen down on Eau Rouge, with faeces streaming downhill.

Pirelli bringing the medium (white) and hard (silver) compound tyres. No saving them this year.

Hard tires in combination with expected air temperatures of 10-12° C. That should be fun.

Not to sound negative or so. But a list of the dry Belgian GP from Spa:

2011: average race.
2009: interesting race for the lead although no real attempts were made. surprising result. but bad race really.
2007: boring from start to finish.
2004: excellent, but thanks to wet qualifying and F1 being away after a long summerbreak with drivers behaving like rookies.
2002: not good.
2001: the Burti accident kept everyone busy, but all in all it was a gifted win for Michael although it had the potential to be great (Frentzen 4th).
1999: nice qualifying accidents. Very poor race.
1996: hard crash from Verstappen allows Schumacher to outsmart Williams team and take surprising win. But not a good race.
1994: interesting grid thanks to qualifying. Easy win for Schumacher until DQ. Nothing much happened. Eau Rouge butchered.
1993: don't quite remember this one, but since I don't, it was probably nothing much to write home about.
1991: fantastic race this one.
1990: nothing much happened although the pit strategies allowed for some mid-race excitement. Also a few starts were needed before this one got underway properly.
1988: Senna takes easy win
1987: massive start crash. Senna vs Mansell, lol. Nothing happened for the rest.
1986: possibly one of the least appealing races of a very attractive season
1983: I seem to recall this one was a quite interesting GP with De Cesaris doing so well in the Alfa.

So all in all, about 4 or so interesting races in 16 attempts.

I'll always remember 2009 :) Fisi taking pole and keeping Kimi honest the entire race, keeping the gap down to a second, couldn't believe my eyes :D A quarter of the spectators on my grandstand showed up on raceday with a Force India-cap :p

Together with Nurburgring, which I also attended, definitely my favourite weekends of 2009 :) It's moments like this why you love the sport, emotions in sport are fantastic ;)

I remember coming back from work that day, going onto the BBC website, reading "Force India on pole" and thinking "that's nice, wait, WHAT?"

Maldonado's race engineer has tweeted that the DRS detection & Activation points will be the same as 2011.

Considering this was a track where DRS was way to effective last year, Im surprised if that turns out to be correct.

Yeah, I have to say I find that the coolest moment of 2009.

The race was better than you may remember. Prost v Hill followed by Prost v Schumacher.

2007 was the worst one, top 4 starters finished in the top 4 spots

Perhaps you should watch the race again. Apart from the top four the racing in the midfield was very entertaining. Sutil was a superstar that day.

I remember one Spa race with madness at the end with Button crashing into Bruni after a puncture and Coulthard getting an extra rear wing after colliding with a Jaguar?

Zonta blew up at the end as well.

Yeah that was a pretty eventful race. Wasn't there a bit of a crazy crash at Eau Rouge on the first lap as well?
