They both scored points.

The only thing Bianchi would score is an award for the most barriers hit.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Well the GP2 > F1 transition is never as clear as hoped. Kobayashi flies off track left, right and centre but keeps it together most of the time when it counts. Bianchi may well be like that. I just think we have a problem in F1 where we have a lot of very good drivers being shafted. Can we have 3 more teams please and bring back pre-quali.

That's always been the case in F1 ;) Loads of 'very good drivers' have been ditched never being able to show their real potential, it's just how Formula 1 sadly works (and it's also good for other series!)

Well yeah, but I think if Grosjean can't get a seat it'll be a massive talent wasted :(

Would indeed tie up with a lot of what I've read and been told about tonight. A seat for RoGro appears very likely.

Seems crazy that at the moment, there are seven seats unconfirmed and all of these drivers waiting:

Petrov, Senna, Hulkenberg, Sutil, di Resta, Barrichello, Bianchi, Alguersuari, Buemi, Ricciardo, Vergne.

All but Rubens should probably deserve a seat. As Dave said in the general thread, F1 drivers are just going through cycles so quickly. We need to get rid of some of the old drivers, because at the moment there's a generation that's going to be missed out. Drivers need to be given time - if we had the culture we have today back in 2001, then would Jenson Button have stayed on the grid? Unlikely. It seems incredibly difficult to make an impression nowadays as the invention and advancement of social media has meant that there's an increased analysis on every incident that happens over a season. 10 years ago it seemed to be accepted that every driver would have several crashes a year, yet now every one gets analysed and is another reason for someone to lose their seat. Madness.

I'll trim that list down for you.

Bianchi I have given my opinion on earlier. Give him 1 more year in GP2. If he stops crashing then bump him up. If not, cut him loose.

Buemi has had 3 seasons in F1 and has shown very little improvement. He can go.

Vergne couldn't even sew up the WSbR title. Give him a year of GP2 to tidy up with F1 Friday mornings added in. Feed him into the mix when Webber is chucked at the end of next year.

There you are.

What about Wickens?
Sure i'm bias and he probably has no money but he beat Riciardo and Vergne, was also good in testng F1.
Hopefully he can do gp2 and clean up there as well.

Custard is moving closer to being Lotus's reserve.

He sounded very positive in an interview for Belgian television today. He even put up a big smile when asked if Williams was a posibility. Seems unlikely, but you never know...

Yep, seems as if that's wrong. Bianchi may well join the Incredible Hulk & Pauli at Fifi.

Petrov may be off to HRT.

Well yes that is the obvious but it doesn't mean that will secure a deal. Remember that Glock has a long term contract with Marussia and any potential buy-out of his contract will cost the team a great deal of money. In addition Marussia want to move up the grid, something that Glock will be able to assist with in terms of development experience and speed.
