German tv had an interesting observation. Since the teams asked clarification on the Ferrari engine, Ferrari isn’t the fastest car anymore

Great race. Went to the kitchen to cook oatmeal and it feels like I didn't miss a lot of action.

This race is just horrible. Like the first part of the season.

Quite an appropriate way for Bottas to win a race. Dazzled by Lewis championship.

In the end, we have had a race with some midfield battles, drama in the pitlane for a frontrunner and a crash (if you want to call it that way) for his teammate, a late overtake because of different strategies, and a 3 way fight till the end for the podium. And Albon did an amazing job recovering from his first lap pit stop. All elements for an amazing race. So why didn't it feel amazing?

There was suspense at the end. Could Lewis hold on or would Bottas take the win? At first it looked like Bottas might stall out in the dirty air, but once he had a good run onto the back straight, you knew he'd fly by Lewis with no defence.

And that's the problem with DRS. Sometimes it's perfect, and allows a car to get closer without making it easy. Sometimes it's far too easy. There's no perfect way of setting it, because every single battle is different (different cars, different tire wear, different straight line speeds etc.)

I think that's what the race was missing. It was an interesting battle for the win, but the overtake was meh. At least we had a pass for the lead on track.

You do have a point. All these elements were there, and generally, they make a race pretty enjoyable. But this time, I just couldn't care less.

I am not sure, but I think I didn't enjoy it because it felt like a mere ritual that lasted two hours for us to wait for the obvious conclusion of Hamilton being crowned champion and this shadowed the whole race.
