car looks 'ok', but I imagine we will have a sudden-push towards the closed cockpits. |

Do we think the FIA should look at those slow zones they have in WEC now? Ted Kravitz saying the medical helicopter was at the track & could fly but the medical people decided not to use it. |

medical helicopter was there, but wasn't used for 'some' reason. It was possible however to fly. The heli lifted off to the hospital because the race was over. |

That latest picture of the car is pretty telling of what has happened. Doesn't look good. |

Ah cĀ“mon nothing happened till this freak accident. And Massa was still bitching about the conditions when everyone wanted to go. We had so many Rain Races that where worse from the conditions. Fact is that the SC should have come out immediately after Sutils crash |

I'm sure I read somewhere that the SC must be thrown to allow course vehicles onto the track if they are in a dangerous area, so perhaps it was a decision taken at the corner, not in race control? We know how he would normally suspend the race for this sort of thing, so perhaps the message just didn't reach him? cranes go on the track all the time dude Oh yes, which is why I edited before posting to add the bit about them being in a dangerous position. I'm sure* they wouldn't treat a crane on the outside of a massive gravel trap the same as one on the outside of Copse, for example. * I mean I really, really hope they wouldn't. |

Either they didn't use the heli because of the weather, or they didn't need it. Hope its not the latter. |
