Tobias wrote: with those watching Sky, what did MB say? If I remember correctly, he once said "He [another driver] was lucky not to hit the tractor that came out to recover my car" about the 1994 crash in Suzuka. He said for himself that he is lucky to not to have hit the crane, but he hit the marshal, broke his leg. Next year he met him,and he was not very happy with the state of the poor guy. He also said that it was the scariest race he had driven. |

https://twitter.com/rosslew23 Quote: Jules Bianchi's car has gone under a grader-like machine and manage to get firmly wedged at speed. Back wheel ended up alongside front.

It has all gone quite for the time being. I wouldn't expect to hear anything official until they reach the hospital and stabilise his condition, whatever it may be. |

always thought it was a bad idea to have tractors on the track with open cockpit race cars that said, it was truly a freak accident, you can't really blame anyone or anything, shit eventually happens when you're racing cars at 200mph |

so what they suggest is that the car went under the truck/crane and came to a sudden stop? |

When i saw that tractor approaching Sutil's car, the thought of creating a danger for other cars crossed my mind...it actually happened, it feels weird... |

I'm starting to wonder if Charlie even knew about the crane. I'm sure I read somewhere that the SC must be thrown to allow course vehicles onto the track if they are in a dangerous area, so perhaps it was a decision taken at the corner, not in race control? We know how he would normally suspend the race for this sort of thing, so perhaps the message just didn't reach him? |

There's some talk that they may have opted to use the road ambulance rather than the helicopter as the road going ambulance allowed the medical staff to offer some emergency services the helicopter could not. |

Hmm looking at Mattzel s picture i think when Sutil crashed the rear wing was still on the car. So i suspect the tractor lifted Sutils car and rear of car where the engine is is heavier and is more to the ground than the nose of car.. And then Bianchi came and probably hit there where the light of Sutils car is with his helmet... But i hope not. But thats my opinion.. dont know.. |

So of course it's what I thought of too. It was even the exact same camera angle as 20 years ago. |
