When it rained in Korea a few years back, Webber was bitching and crying about how they shouldn't race, whilst Lewis and Vettel wanted to get strapped in and drive. So Mr Grit wouldn't exactly help the situation. |

You have 20 drivers, give them all a piece of paper, let them all vote anonymsly, and the majority decides. So nobody will know who voted what, but at least if the majority decides not to race, then fine. |

I do feel sorry for Pirelli. They have spent so much time and money trying to develop a wet tyre, even to the point of soaking Paul Ricard on multiple occasions just so they can be guaranteed wet running and then F1 decides that they won't run in conditions that mandate it anymore. I hope they are seeking compensation from the FIA. |

What I don't understand is the logic. Sure, we don't want situations like Spa 1998 - but this is qualifying. Each car should theoretically be separated by a sufficient amount of time. Part of the excitement is of wet running, especially on a street circuit. If you spin off, tough. From TV it didn't look like there was massive puddles to necessitate such a delay, and the delay in itself is silly because it just means the track gets wetter and the light gets dimmer. |

I was at the track, and after Q1 it was pissing down. There was no decision to make really, it was Never going back on. The mistake was to delay the start of q1 imo, it was only drizzling during that delay. |

Needless to say, Friday was a lot more fun. Although it was really cool to watch Q1 with cars going everywhere. Gonna be there early for Sunday tho so I dont miss Q2 and Q3. |

I very much enjoyed today at the track, saw tons of cars spinning as well as Massa & Gutierrez hit the wall, quite fun to watch. Really don't want delays tomorrow though, after 7:10 today I'd say there would be too little light to be racing, maybe 7:20, so that leaves about 2 hours 10 mins to complete the race. Should be ok as forecast looks brighter but that's just what will happen if worse comes to worst. |

How about not messing with the starting time and begin at 1pm or 2pm like everywhere else in the world, instead of running a race against the sun? I'd rather watch a full qualy in the middle of the night than see a farce like this, where you end up having to wake up on sunday anyways. I don't think the 7am start (for Europe) brings much more casual viewers than a 3am start. Hardcore fans will wake up at both. Normal people will SLEEP on sunday morning at 7am. |

According to Weather+ iPad app (which is very precise 80% of the time) it will rain overnight in melbourne, until 0700. 0800 will have some spells of sunshine but threat of rain will remain. at 1100 the rain will start again all the way until 1400. For the race start at 1700; Partly Cloudy, no rain. I hope its one of those inters/slick starts

Glad I didn't get up and just watched a recording. I thought NBC's was alright, similar to Speed but seemed better. Maybe that's because Leigh Diffey was fronting the show, I'm not sure. |
