maybe is like what happened to Bettie Page, she didn't allowed any pics or info on her so people could remember as the 50's pinup

Tbh, I think this might well be what they are trying to do.

That makes sense for the outside world but for the inner circle of friends and family? I'd be pretty pissed if my wife kept all my close friends at bay while I could kick the bucket at any time.

'Trying' was the operative word here ;)

I think media types will look back on this as a textbook case of how not to deal with the media and fans when a prominent public figure suffers life-changing injuries.

Considering all what has been said, it's freightening to imagine how they would handle his death.

I think they will make a big drama out of it, when most people's reaction might be "he's dead? Probably for the best now" and move on. It will definitely be my reaction.

It is uncomfortable to wonder these things while he's still with us, but what Michael would have done in his 40s and 50s hadn't his accident occurred? Would he have been active in F1 or maybe FE? Could he have helped Mick to climb the ladder towards F1? As with Senna, we will never know.

Senna would have been working with McLaren Honda, showing up into the media everyday that is rubbish F1 with no testing and calling for more testing

Good read.

A good read indeed!

Here's the actual press released noted on the last page:

Sabine Kehm wrote:
Unfortunately, we are forced by a recent press report to clarify that the assertion that Michael could move again is not true. Such speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important for Michael. Unfortunately they also give false hopes to many involved people.

Not sure if this is a translation issue, but the subject of the second sentence is now Michael whereas previously it has been his family. In the absence of any other useful information, perhaps we could use some tabloid extrapolation to say he might have some awareness now?

I think it's just a common phrase. Just like saying "this is how Micheal would have wanted it."
Shouldn't look into it too much

I hate when people do this. Not giving the full story. If you can't or aren't allowed to talk, be a man and shut up instead of being an attention whore about it.

I guess the family asked to hold on and give the news, or is just another hoax

Maybe just reading too much into the was part.

And of course they just say no comment. They have been added to the rumours like that since the start with all the secrecy surrounding Schumacher's injury.

I hate this type of shit with these little snippets intended to cause dramatic headlines. We don't know what to believe anymore :/

I've been seeing a few different quotes in the media. I don't know if there's a translation issue going on here but there's a big difference between "I don't have any good news to report" and "I have news and it's not good" with the former alluding more to status quo and the latter implying something more serious...

If the rumors are true please yes. The rumored condition doesn't benefit anyone.

Luca's comments are starting to be carried by a lot of major news outlets now...surely Sabine will have to make an official statement in response soon?
