All I see from Red Bull's announcement about team orders, plus Vettel's attitude about the subject is that the team have merely given Vettel a license to do whatever he pleases. If that means we get great and intense fighting on track between Vettel and Webber then I'm fine with that.

Personally, I think that Red Bull as a team has always worked for Vettel's favour. Sure, they have let Webber to win too, but only on the last leg of the season, when they've already got the titles to their pocket. I don't know if it's the team that allows to Webber to try to beat Vettel or is it just that they want to put up a good show...or maybe Webber is just ignorant to the orders he's been given. Either way, Malaysia was bit more than a "good show". But for Red Bull brand, that was damn good advertisement none the less. For the last three weeks no one has talked anything about F1 without mentioning Red Bull (you know, the energy drink company that has the triple world champion F1 team). It was a God damn good advertisement.

Let's be honest, Red Bull has never really been successful in the whole team orders issue anyway!

Taking cheap shots at the oldest guy on the grid, what a sucker :D Maybe I'll live to the day when Vettel has a real teammate. not this excuse by the name of Webber. Wonder if Vettel will be that smart again?

So how likely is it that the red bulls will drive into each other at some point the season? Malaysia got pretty close, and Webber still could have run Vettel off wide when he did get past, sounds like the gloves are truly off now

I'm loving this. Glad Vettel doesn't seem to be taking the PR friendly "everything's fine" approach. Should be fun!

No, you're wrong... this doesn't seem like a stupid question.

I believe you are talking about the post about Perez, right? Perez crashed into the tyre barrier of the pit entry, the same place Lewis got stucked in the gravel in 2007 race.

:p :p :p :p :p

Quote:
The death this week of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher can point to only one outcome for superstitious Formula One gamblers and lovers of bizarre sporting statistics - a victory for Lotus in Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix.

A flick through the sport's record books shows that the last four deaths of former British premiers have been followed immediately by victory on the racetrack for the team from Enstone.

Edward Heath's demise on July 17, 2005 was followed on July 24 by success for Fernando Alonso in Germany with Renault, the team that is now Lotus and operates from the same English factory.

James Callaghan's death on March 26, 2005 came just before Alonso won in Bahrain for Renault.

In October 1995, Alec Douglas-Home passed away and Michael Schumacher won for Benetton, the team that went on to become Renault. Earlier that year, Schumacher triumphed in Monaco four days after Harold Wilson died.

Going back even further, the first race held after the death of Clement Attlee in October 1967 was won by...Britain's Jim Clark in a Lotus.

Still not convinced enough to take a flutter on Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen or Romain Grosjean in a country famed for its love of gambling? Then consider this - Thatcher's son Mark was once the chairman of Lotus cars in North America.

The morbid prime ministerial statistic follows another popular one that did the rounds of the F1 media centre before the season-opening Australian Grand Prix that linked papal conclaves with grand prix racing.

Three of the last five papal conclaves before the election of Pope Francis were followed by either victories for Lotus or a team from Enstone.

True to form, Raikkonen won this year's Australian season-opener only days after the Argentine pontiff was installed.

British bookmakers William Hill offered odds of 7/1 on Thursday on Raikkonen winning in China with Grosjean at 33/1. Red Bull's world champion Sebastian Vettel is 15/8 favourite.

Think Pirelli may have gone a bit too extreme with this soft compound, Medium compound doesn't seem too bad but the soft's :yuk:

Tyres that can't maintain performance over 1 lap & fall to pieces in only 5-6 laps with a 4-5 second performance loss is too much in my view.

Where I come from, 15 of what I would consider "towns" could fit in those skyscrappers, I didn't realise they could build cities so quick!

Scotty, I grew up in country Victoria....check Gillieston on google maps (amazingly I am not a bogan!!! Even more amazing that I live in Asia with an Asian wife and kids...) The "regional" town that I live in now Nantong (only known to those that live in the area) just an hour outside of Shanghai has just a shade under 2 million people.....just a small "regional city" complete with own airport.
They can and do build entire cities here in under a year. Check this out.......http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2083883/Ark-Hotel-construction-Chinese-built-30-storey-hotel-scratch-15-days.html

I actually only live about 45 minutes from the F1 track, and there is NO indication that the race is taking place this weekend....such a shame that have to work.
