no way! Hamilton said last year that he have never taken Turn 8 flat out. Actually, I have never seen an onboard or read someone saying that had took it flat out.

Go to formula1.com and watch Raikkonen's Q3 lap from last year to see how much he lift off. Vettel, in his pole lap, lift a bit less and keep the speed around 275km/h through the 2nd and 3rd apexes(the tightests of that corner) :

Hopefully, the pole(a RBR of course) this year will take it flat out for the first time(I suppose)

It probably won't be flat in a Hispania tbh

It probably won't be flat out in any car that isn't a Red Bull.

Turn 8 is very challenging and in qualifying should be flat this year but right on the edge.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Well, that's just Sutil's opinion and he is known for an optimistic trend. Kubica is not so sure about it:
“Last year it was nearly flat so we will have to see what it’s like this year. I’m not expecting it to be particularly challenging during qualifying, but it will be at the start of the race when your tyre pressures are low and the car is heavy on fuel.”

Reading Stef's post, I'm even more confident of a +1 second difference between RBR and the closest rival.

, RBR is definitely much quicker than the others but 20mph(32kmh) is a difference between different categories.

More precisely, here is the prove that RBR couldn't be 20mph faster in Campsa:
[spoiler]if you look Webber's pole in formula1.com, his speed in the apex is in about 257-263

to know the speed, you can compare with this Barrichello onboard:

So, the other cars should be doing Campsa at about 257kmh - 32kmh, which would be in around 225kmh and the speed graphic should show something similar to:
Image

But, in this Schumacher's FP2 lap he was already faster than that and with the softer tyre and qualy speed he would go, obviously, faster:

So, it is impossible that RBR was 20mph quicker in Campsa. Or, even 20kmh because Schumacher's minimum speed at the corner during a FP lap was in about 241-245kmh by comparison with this pics:

This is a Tilke track. These tracks are designed for F1 in the first place. F1 has failed to deliver on every occasion (2005 was a good race but nothing more). Hence this is a bad track.
The 2006 race wasn't too bad either, featured 27 on-track passes, the most ever for F1 at Istanbul & no Dry F1 race has got more passes than that since.

Hamilton has had his ear pierced, wearing studs. But Article 2.2.1 says you can't wear jewellery during an F1 event

Ted Kravits just confirmed that these smaller T-Cam's we have been seeing over the last year are 3D & that FOM have told him the footage there getting from it is spectacular.

Apparently FOM had some problems today as the onboard channel was completely mute.
Actually I don't care: didn't watch any minute of the session, *yawn*

Bet they wished they had put di Resta in that car like planned now. That car is pretty done.

I wish BBC would stick with the coverage through to the end of the FOM highlights, They often cut away Mid way through them.

Didn't Webber go off there a couple of years ago?

Did Kimi crash there? Or was that turn 4?

Anyone got a screenshot?

If you mean 2006 race crash it was somewhere in the first sector. I think it was turn 3 or 6. Turn 6 has had some other crashes as well, I can recall Davidson (2007), Albers (2006) and Webber (2007 or 2008) crashing there.

Webber dopped it at the exit of Turn 6 a few years ago I think
