About the Nascar, i hope it's an off championship race...is it ? (that video from the 2009 race was quite laughable)

Nope, it was a regular points-paying race for the Nationwide series (2nd tier series with mostly 2nd tier drivers lol)

Okay, thanks for the info :)
Is it for a promoting purpose though ?...if so, that's a very strange way to promote.

I think it's NASCAR's way to promote their brand to international territory. They did that in the Busch Series with Mexico City before.

The first race in Montreal has Robby Gordon spinning out Ambrose to take the lead where he shouldn't be. The second race had tons of heavy rain. The third race...well...

(video contains ALL the incidents)

This should be mandatory: every new circuit shall be built on a nice island so that walls, fences and trees are as close as possible to the track. It can turn any layout into a mad pit of awesomeness.

It's just bad that throughout the years they changed the pit exit and enlarged turn 1. It's still a hot spot, but it makes for a little less laughs and giggles than before.

Ferrari has some updates for Canada, I'm curious to see their improvement. Given the low downforce configuration is used in Montreal, I suppose Force India can do well on this track.

PS: The FPs today are at the same time as World Cup matchs, will anyone ditch F1 for football?

Mclaren should win this race, they re speed down the straights will be just enough to beat the Red Bulls. Like everyone else great this race is back on the calander, should be an awesome race.

This race will be awesome, I can see many drivers fighting for the first positions, RBR allways fast, the best car of the grid, McLaren improving a lot and with their speed, they can make a great race there, Mercedes is improving, bit by bit, step by step and with a good engine, Montreal will be a great track for them, plus Schumacher was allways good there, Ferrari in a "street circuit" is better, and with the updates Alonso can be a surprise, and there is Kubica in his Renault, he drives really well at Montreal, his first and only victory was there, and for sure he will try to repeat the 2008 show. Can't wait for that, sadly the free practices will collide with WC matches
