perhaps they will host a F1 game with all the drivers playing with their counterparts in a free live stream to circunvent the probable lack of racing

Slater has now walked back his original report and is stating that the race is off.

All major sporting events are cancelled so I expect it from F1,so it seems life has now no sense those days with all this clusterfuck around the virus and panic. It's like a horror game/movie.
Here in Croatia people are mass buying everything, trying some quarantine, schools closed because of 2 guys who worked in Italy. The virus is very easily spreadable even with quarantines, so I think It's just useless, it keeps on some thing like a week or so, so it just goes like a unlimited, one person touches it, carries it to the other, family and it can now go quarantine but everything before is just un-reversible. You can't know if you have it,what you did and where did you touch things.

To be honest, big damage is already done by flying there and trying the GP to go ahead. But the main panic started 2,3 days ago as most of the members are there.
Other thing, just think about Rugani, Juventus player in football, he has confirmed Corona, no visible things, not feeling ill, but he has it, he trained normal like any other day, played matches with and against players. Same for Rudy Gobert in NBA, they even played with spectators.

Rudy Gobert did worse, from the BBC:

"The US basketball player diagnosed with coronavirus reportedly made a joke about the virus at a press conference, in which he purposefully rubbed every reporter's microphone.

Rudy Gobert, who plays for Utah Jazz, took part in a media briefing on Monday in which members of the press were barred from entering the locker room as a preventative measure.

He then intentionally rubbed all of the microphones, in order to mock the restriction.

Now, Associated Press and Reuters news agencies are reporting that he is the player who has contracted the virus."

Can I get me a "doh!"?

Posted by Lando Norris. He's using some really weird wording that almost makes you think he is the one infected. Or he just means he needs to stay away from almost everyone to avoid getting infected

Surely not

All this eyeballing because no one wants to be the one to pull the trigger and be held liable for the huge financial loss. Indy 2005 all over again

Oh I don't think it'll get that far. But it's more the point that F1 is incapable of being decisive because of brinkmanship. It's learned nothing from previous crises. Compare that to the major American leagues which are all shutting down with immediate effect

so what if the teams decide to take installation laps in all sessions and then retire after the warmup lap in the race?

we all know if they decide that even behind closed doors a driver hunger for a win will breach the agreement and fuck this whole shit up thus making it a great farce

Apparently the chairman of the race has said it's going ahead. I guess he's waiting for Liberty to make the call
