Wait wut, you are comparing a V12 to a V6 :8: ? Or is that car a mule with an F1 engine in it?

For sure it's a test mule. But does it have F1 engine? It sure sounds like that it has turbo and it revs more than 10k.

IMO FOM should broadcast races on Youtube, have practice sessions free, Qualy $0.25 (maybe free) and the race $0.99. Where the race goes from the F1 graphic in (5 mins before warm up lap) to the F1 graphic out (after podiums). I'd pay for it if they had good commentators, no commercials and it was in HD without any lagging.

It's a better option to use YouTube compared to their own site as YT has much more traffic and extremely fast servers. I think they could make money off of that.

A service like that started in Japan this year. People on other forums are suggesting it could be a test by FOM to expand in the future, but FOM does things very slowly.

Didn't Sky just buy the rights last year for north of a billion dollars? The 10-15-20 TV channels that pay squizzilions for the rights wouldn't let anything like that happen in their right minds. Maybe if they charged $14.99 the idea might have credence.

Sky's contract is till 2018 so nothing will change until then, to be honest I think in markets where f1 is popular like Britain there'll still be enough demand for broadcasters to pay for exclusive broadcasting rights.

Formula 1 proposes two mandatory pitstops for 2014

really??? just bring back refueling as well then. Why not supply soft, medium and hard and let the drivers do what they think is best.

If the new F1 cars sound like this, I will be okay with that

BULLSHIT!

I would like to go back where drivers/teams can decide for themselves if and how many pitstops they want to make...

Like DTM (I didn't watch last two years so I am speaking from before that): start, nothing happens, pitstops, nothing happens, pitstops, nothing happens, finish.

Overtaking should happen on track, not because team X can change tyres a billonth of a second faster than team Y...

I'm more into italian passion rather than german engineering. I'm not a fan of BMW bikes, but I love Agustas and Vespas scooters (and the fact you can race Vespas in kart tracks)

That's crazy! Is that the same book that's been signed by every living world champion?

Maldonado seems seriously confirmed at Lotus now. According to Adam Cooper and a shitload of randoms on Twitter. Nothing on Autosport yet.

Great way to announce bad news. :D Such a shame Lotus have to make a decision based on funding like this.

Starting to think Hulkenberg is the Nick Heidfeld of this generation.

Hulkenberg, just go to the states and take that Ganassi seat. If F1 doesn't want him, it's their loss.

Great news. Although technically Smedley isn't going to Williams, rather he is returning.

Surely having two stops negates the whole idea of super slippery tyres?

Shit that Maldonado gets a Lotus seat, but survival of the team is the priority. Then again, I think Lotus will suck next year so he may have made a bad move anyway.

The overriding question is: what the fuck has Lotus's sponsorship department been doing for two years?
