Hopefully that shuts all the Alguersuari doubters up. Awesome performance, he's really found his feet since Canada/Valencia.

Was there actually anyone doubting him, though?

On a similar note, hopefully that shuts all the Senna doubters up.

Everyone seems so obsessed with Ricciardo and Vergne getting a ride at STR. Personally I don't see what Jaime or Sebastien have done wrong this year. Their in with a shout of beating Force India if they can minimise any points loss at Spa and Monza since Singapore and the other flyaways should suit them better when it's hotter.

Will admit I am pleasantly suprised by Senna's performance. Might put into further perspective Nick's performance, or lack thereof if he starts beating Petrov consistently, doesn't excuse Boullier's behavior though.

Hamilton blocked Pastor at the chicane and then moved into each other on the run to Eau Rouge.

I can see penalties coming for both, tbh.

They were both dicking around.

Hopefully the stewards have access to onboards to see where the drivers' hands were because the camera angles were not great.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Hamilton you can say initiated it by slowing and making the first swerve. Maldonado was probably more at fault for the contact the second time, which was probably more retaliation for the swerve rather then contact at the chicane. Penalties for both.

How can Hamilton be penalised if Maldonado turns left in a right hander? That caused the collision.

The overtaking in the chicane was because Pastor went to the far right side of the track before the lefthander and opened the door wide. Of course you overtake the guy in front if its your last possibility to get into Q3. Then it's Pastor who slams the door shut, presumably because he didnt expect Hamilton there. But then again, it's Pastors fault for not checking and closing the door, not Hamilton's for taking the iniciative.

The Hamilton/Maldonado incident reminds me like this:

I don't think it's 100% Maldonado fault, although if I believe the media it is.

was a silly accident with Ham and Mal, the collision was Mals fault in my opinion about 80-90%, but by the look of it Lewis did jink his car towards Pastor out of La Source to wind him up so maybe 80-90% is a bit high.

Its one thing to do what Hamilton looks to have done - moved over slightly, and another to actually make contact, what Maldo did...

You still shouldn't swerve like Hamilton did originally

F1Lite: While there remains no official word, paddock sources say that Hamilton and Martin Whitmarsh left the meeting looking less than happy

Weird. I guess that makes me officially blind. Ah well, hope the race will be just as a fuckup as the gp2 race. At least we would have some sort of an entertaining race.

Not really convinced Hamilton deserved any penalty, but the TV angles weren't great so possibly the telemetry showed something deliberate from Hamilton.

Maldonado's penalty seems light for deliberate contact but guess if Hamilton had also done something wrong would mitigate Maldonado's actions.
