Sorry guys for not making the after-race-threads. I was on an awesome vacation in Italy with my class.

But I just saw that even ellis gave this GP a 3, must have been very bad indeed :p

Well nothing happened lol.

Vettel drove off, Rosberg messed up his start which robbed us of even a short lead battle. Ricciardo crashed, but it was extremely unspectacular, the safety car promised something to happen, but that never happened either. I missed di Restas accident, but reading about it he made a stupid mistake which then again had no impact on the race. I really can't think of anything I enjoyed about this race lol. It kept promising things (Rosberg almost leading, the SC bunching everyone up) and it never got there.

he missed his braking point, still tried to make the corner, but room ran out. Fatigue I suggest. He raced well up to that point.

Kimi round the outside of Button in Schumacher corner must've been one thing to enjoy, at least.

In fact Kimi from 16th----->3rd was pretty awesome.

Fernando's start / first lap was one of the best things for me.

I'll never complain about an outside overtake but Jenson's tyres were ruined, let's face it. This wasn't of the JV v Schumi Portugal 1996 calibre.

No, but I don't think it's a corner that you see many overtakes on, and any time a car manages to go around the outside of another one, tyres or not, makes me gasp and smile a little inside.

It wasn't quite Kimi's ballsy move from the USGP last year in turn 3, but in a race like that, I'll take it :)

Oh yes, I completely agree with you. I'll take it and I enjoyed it, but for me I thought a different part of the race was better than that.

Fernando's start was great, no question about that. (He did a similar move around the outside of Webber in Monza too, coupled with Lewis' outside move(s) on Webber in Hungary it really is the season for great outside overtakes!)

But I kind of have a different category for "Best start performance" and "Best overtaking maneuver" in my head so they can both get fictional codename_47 trophies in my mind :p

Thank you. I'm flattered (just like the tyres at Silverstone)...

I'll get my coat.

Aren't trophies brilliant?

Also, I have a theory that overtaking a car around the outside is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman ...
