I'm pretty sure Alonso is much faster than Button.

Without a shadow of doubt.

But Jenson is used to seeing which way the wind is coming and bolting whenever a highly rated multiple world champion is heading into his current team :p

I think Alonso would destroy Jenson really.

Of course, but when Button is chummy with Alonso's side of the garage, Alonso is going to have a meltdown.

Aw.

One of the other Sauber rumours going around is that the team might be persuaded to take Petrov for a season instead of Sirotkin whilst he builds up more experience.

Finally, common sense has prevailed. I'm no fan of Petrov but he makes more sense than Sirotkin who needs more experience. Or if the new owners insist on a Russian, then there's that other driver who won FR3.5 a few years back who I rate much higher than Petrov.

Problem with Aleshin is that he won FR3.5...and then stayed there, going backwards down the grid with each progressive season.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Actually we've already got Formula Russia (a renamed Formula Abarth copy)... with 11 drivers (2 of them not yet confirmed) for the 2013 season. The situation in open-wheels was never good probably except the first years of the century when Russian Formula 3 and Russian Formula 1600 Championship had some decent races

Daniil Kvyat is the highest rated option to debut in F1 (before or after Sirotkin), the others are either too old and well-known (Rusinov, Aleshin, Move) or on the contrary too young and unknown (Snegirev, Markelov, Tereschenko, Orudzhev). Don't know where to put Martsenko though.

Kimiya Sato (no relation) will be Sauber's reserve driver at Suzuka.

PVDSA is also wildly involved in Indycar. Imagine that, Viso and Maldonado on one grid.

This was mentioned on The F1 Show on Sky Sports a couple of months ago.

A couple of months? Not bad, if they're right.

Anyway, it would line up with the link from the previous page:

I'm less concerned over Pastor losing count of how many races he's won than his complete lack of support for Williams. With Pastor's attitude can't imagine he was much help for developing the car in pre season testing.

Has anyone read the three-part 'Grand Prix' graphic novel published by Dargaud? Why did they replace Richard Seaman's character with Leslie Toliver? Not just the name but the entire appearance is different.
