The uphill sector is pretty fluent, the layout reminds me kinda like Macau.


The uphill sector is interesting if also quite narrow. Same for the downhill sector. Having driven it I'm still dumbfounded by the prospect of F1 cars driving on these roads as parts just don't seem suitable.

In next race, if Fernando Alonso is 2nd or 1st in Korean GP, he'll pass Michael Schumacher's record with total points scored. Schumacher's record is 1566 points, while Alonso now has 1551 points. However, it's obvious that current points system has boosted Alonso in the statistics.

So how the ranking would look like, if the current points system had been used always?

1. Michael Schumacher, 3890
2. Alain Prost, 2470.5
3. Fernando Alonso, 2394
4. Rubens Barrichello, 1892
5. Ayrton Senna, 1859.5
6. Kimi Räikkönen, 1854
7. David Coulthard, 1726
8. Nelson Piquet, 1672
9. Jenson Button, 1664.5
10. Nigel Mansell, 1500
11. Sebastian Vettel, 1491
12. Lewis Hamilton, 1439
13. Gerhard Berger, 1409.5
14. Mika Häkkinen, 1382
15. Niki Lauda, 1337


So in reality, Alonso has chance to pass Alain Prost, while Kimi Räikkönen has a chance to pass both Ayrton Senna and Rubens Barrichello during this season. Jenson Button can pass Nelson Piquet, Vettel and Hamilton can pass Nigel Mansell.

It'll probably end up being gloriously sunny, but what actually happens if the race has to be called off, without it having started? I looked into the regulations but could find nothing. The logical course of action would be for the race to take place on Monday, but it would be logistically challenging considering the short turn around time to Japan.

Good lord are they pussies. Anything that was exciting or at least on some way added to the spectacle is removed immediately. Starting with a kern, that was apparently too low when the circuit was opened to a path of grass between the race track and the asphalt run-off.

Hah. Only chance to see wet race this year and the whole race gets canceled altogether. Splendid. Well, the track sucks big time (everywhere non-challenging asphalt and boring scenery) so I couldn't care less. Skip straight to Suzuka plz.
