How will it not? This is obviously going down to the wire...

If driver x leads the championship going into Dubai and ends before driver y, the double points didn't have the deciding factor. Just logic.

Next four races:
One with Hamilton 1st, Rosberg 2nd
One with Rosberg 1st, Hamilton 2nd
One with Hamilton 1st, Rosberg DNF
One with Rosberg 1st, Hamilton DNF

That would mean drivers would be three points apart. If Rosberg wins Abu Dhabi, he's a champion with double points and would be without them. I think that's what StefMeister is trying to say.

When I said I hoped Double Points wasn't the deciding factor I meant more than if the championship is decided at Abu-Dhabi then whoever wins the championship would still have won without the Double Points.

I don't want whoever wins to only have won because of Double Points.

Sadly though double points is bound to decide some positions further down & likely will have some impact on the constructors.

I must say that the double points would work only if they get mixed track conditions and a 2 hour race instead of a 305km run

rules fucked everything already

Glad this one is over, as usual nothing much happened racing wise except for the final few laps thanks to the pirelli tyres. This is probably one of my least favourite tracks on the calendar, I wish they'd change the layout to something less twisty. Especially the final sector needs all those 90 degree corners removed. They are only there so they can pass by that football (?) grandstand

When the green flag lap is more eventful than the 2 hours of racing that follow it, you know you have a shitty track

to be fair, the 2012 and 2013 races here were pretty fun

it was a bad race that i wouldn't watch again but this track is certainly better than abu dhabi or india or korea and probably sochi

but Marcus Ericsson beat both Marussias. What a great day for Sweden, and therefore the world.

Agreed. But when we've had so many great races this year, one crap race is acceptable.

With new tires everyone would have looked equally great especially considering the Bottas train. No magic in that.

I don't think anyone could do it like that, Vergne had to make the moves fast and they were pretty ballsy.

I know it's standard procedure and all for exiting the cars but this one still made me giggle a bit.

NBCSN's team pointed that out also.

it was only like 4 laps, but it felt like 7 because this track has 47 turns or something like that

That was an absolute joke, what pisses me off is the fact that they wait for all the cars to be in a line and then allow lapped cars to overtake and rejoin. Surely they can just allow lapped cars to overtake without having to wait for everyone to be lined up. I know its supposedly for safety, but what do they think, every driver is a dipshit that will take a swipe at any car that comes near them? Could have saved 3 laps off that farce.
