Clearly it's not because they suck. They are on inters no? In a section of track which NEEDS wets. I am sure they are being careful, it's just too bloody wet.

Agree, most I saw going off were on Inters. Their fault, should have put on wets.

a safety car start means the full wets must be put on
the drivers go out on intermediates because it's too dry for full wets

conclusion: no reason for a safety car start

It would be a joke to start behind the SC.Full Wets are not needed, because most parts of the Track are good for Inters.

yes. See example Fuji 2007 when Ferrari put on inters and were penalised. Same for Raikkonen in Monaco 2008.

These drivers are wimps, a few drops of rain and they demand a delay.

Jackie Stewart complained but still raced and won the 1968 German GP is about the worst rain conditions ever.

Yes it is. FIA ordered it on some information board before Fuji 2007, Ferrari didn't get that information then. For the following year they put it into rules.

Button is one who always moans when it gets "too wet" (wonder how many times he used the word: "lake")

ok I see. there still should be room left for some middle ground (SC start with inters), for example if a puddle of water only in the first turns is significant danger for the first few laps.

Sutil complaining about aquaplaning. That's the message Charlie wants to hear.

Monaco 2008 wasn't SC start. The penalty was for not putting tyres on before 3-minute signal.

Ricciardo already has an excuse for getting outperformed by Vergne in the race again.
