But when the Ferrari was failing, Schumacher didn't win either. It took Schumacher and Ferrari years to get the team to the point they could win.

Schumachers talent wasn't particularly as a driver. He was amazing, and an all time great, but in terms of raw skill in normal circumstances, Schumacher wasn't great under pressure, wasn't a great qualifier. He was exceptional in the wet, very very Senna like. But his real talent was building a team around him and having them operate as a unit better than anyone on the grid. It took years to get there, but once they did they were unstoppable. In terms of raw skill, I place Vettel above Schumacher considerably. In terms of the things like building a team, which is something you don't often thing about, Schumacher is so good that nobody is even remotely close to him.

I do think however, that Schumacher's greatest skill was to drive long stints with amazingly constant&quick lap times. In addition, he was also a very consistent driver, who always fought for every single point. His greatest strenght were the races itself, pole position was not necessary for him to win a race.

Sorry, but that's not true.
The only years of Michael in Ferrari when he couldn't fight for the WDC because his car wasn't good enough were '96 (his first year) and '05. In '97, '98 and '06 he was a title contender until the very last race of the season and in '99 one could argue that if it wasn't for his broken leg, he might have won it

Boullier has confirmed that Lotus is talking with Hulkenberg and Maldonado. He appeared to suggest that 'building a team to challenge Red Bull is important, not just for 1 year but 5 years.'

So, money or talent?

He probably still has more money than talent.

Vettel proved himself in the past 4 years

he should pick up a greater challenge and race for Ferrari, shut up people who says he wins just because of newey

and of course let other drivers win ffs

FIA seriously needs to let this burnout shit go.. they're open to adding gimmicks so blatant that even NASCAR wouldn't consider yet they frown upon burnouts. Image

Jim Clark only became champion in cars designed by Colin Chapman, Senna only became champion in Gordan Murray cars, Schmumi only won in cars designed by Rory Byrne.

Doesn't make them less the champion. Maybe we should accept the fact that designers might be a bigger factor in championships than drivers.

It,s smarter to guess, what happens when Newey and Vettel leave Red Bull? My bet: back to being a midfield team.

I think losing Prodromou will be just a big a loss as Newey. Big issue in 2014 will be engines - Red Bull historically has tight packaging so issues with KERS.

McLaren MP4/6 was Neil Oatley works

but about that issue, I always remember Valentino Rossi, that won his best races in Honda, and then went for Yamaha, winning the first championship for the brand in years. Vettel could do that in F1

Because Valentino took Gerry Burgess with him.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.
