That's what I'm thinking too, they interviewed Montiwhatever on the BBC and he basically said Ferrari is Ferrari, drivers come and go, we want to win and we're not happy because we're not.

When Eddie asked him about him saying Alonso was the best driver they ever had, he kind of backtracked and said he was the best driver during a race tactically, blah blah blah.

Ferrari are good at blaming the driver, even when it's blatantly not their fault the car is shit.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I've been saying this for a while.

It's the best lineup Ferrari could have.

Then they announce they're sticking with Alonso and Massa... >.<

I can understand they make peace with Alonso and keep him. But it would be stupid to not replace Massa with Hulkenberg.

I really hope Raikkonen is still on sight for Ferrari. Like Montezemolo said himself, problems from the past are not obstacles for a fresh comeback.

I'm excited about a Raikkonen-Alonso possibility in Ferrari. Maybe Ferrari is losing the 1-2 mentality and would allow competition into the team again, why not? If you have to be competitive, sometimes you got to change your methods, besides that would increase F1 tv ratings again, it's all about business, entertainment and competition.

I wish they kept the 2007/2008 mentality. Free to race until one gets a clear advantage in the title challenge.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Would still be a good line up, though I'd prefer Button alongside Alonso, just to see the meltdown as Button comes in and gets the team on his side

Fuck it. di Resta and Bianchi! Why not? Ferrari could have the pick of the entire grid!

Webber has unfinished Ferrari business after his chat with them during last year.

Button and Webber: the retirement tour

Or Alonso and Webber, which would be like the TV series "The Trip" as Fernando and Mark sample the best restaurants from around the F1 world, occasionally racing their cars as a sideshow in-between.

Ferrari doesn't have reasons to get rid of Alonso. It's not just because in the last weeks their relationship (Alonso & Ferrari) has suffered some "downs" that they would throw a whole winning story into the garbage.

Alonso's story in Ferrari since 2010 has been extremely successful. He nearly won World championship titles with cars way below contender's standard. You don't see that everyday and as a one of the most valuable drivers in F1, you are crazy If you fire Alonso. Imagine how stupid it would be to keep Massa in Ferrari and fire Alonso? It doesn't have the slightest logic.

Ferrari doesn't give a shit about nearly winning championships. They haven't won anything since Kimi left. Alonso may be the best driver in the whole universe, he has (so far) failed to do what he was hired for. Maybe that's because the car is shit, and maybe it wouldn't make sense, but I wouldn't be surprised if Montezemolo decided to say "fuck that shit" and sacked Fernando.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that they should keep Felipe and fire Alonso. Most people are suggesting that they should chuck both of them for drivers who are of a more stable mentality and similar speed (Kimi\Hulk\Bianchi etc.).

So Ferrari have no reason to get rid of Alonso? That's the funniest thing I've read in ages.
