Was planning on visiting that GP next year with a little tour of the states included, might have to do Canada instead now.

I seriously doubt if that race will ever happen.

That's a shame as it means 19 races next year rather than 20. Bernie's not going to get another race back on the calendar either.

Ecclestone also denied suggestions Turkey could replace New York on the 20-race 2013 calendar.

Chosen because of the lack of alternatives and because Fernando wants it, great compliment. But if he keeps driving as in the last few races than he certainly deserves it.

A shame, but bigger shame is the news a replacement can't be added, whatever reason it is. 19 race calendar is frustrating. I know it's still better than what we had some years back but considering current calendars lack quality, the quantity can be seen as a way of counter-balancing that.

We can't afford it. Even if we could, no one could afford to go there.

If you'd seen the building work that's been going on with Weehawken and on the waterfront, you wouldn't think this.

So thanks to NJ pissing off of the schedule, we're left with a 2013 calendar that has 5 races across June, July and August. And then 6 races at the end of the season in the space of 8 weeks. Well done FIA.

Pretty sure Algarve only has an FIA-Grade 2 & 1T license.

Suitable for F1 testing but not suitable to hold an F1 race.

Turkey please!

We can all list races that we'd want to see but that and Magny Cours/Paul Ricard (if the French have a change of heart and want it again) are probably the most likely to be set up to take on a race at shorter notice than usual.

Not that I think F1 will bother filling the gap, no-one can make money on a 1 year contract can they?
