Sure i've read in the past that its Bernie who insists they don't mark the garage floor because he wants everything in the pits & paddock to be neat & tidy because it looks better for the corporate guests.

Its a very un-abrasive track surface so tyre wear is always a non-issue here.

Turn 3.

That's literally the only thing of interest at this track.

Ricciardo has said the visibility through the 'Aeroshield' was OK.

That been said the way he was answering & acting during the interview made it seem like he wasn't totally convinced about it.

whenever they say "ok" I immediately hear a political correct answer.

Ricciardo was wearing some sort of glasses camera when he did the lap with the canopy.

Is that some sort of "driver's eyes" video camera perhaps? to show exactly what it's like?

Yep, that hit the helmet.

That helmet is also much higher than the driver would be sitting in the car.

Look at it compared to Daniel actually in the car.

The thing that makes me suspicious about Red Bull trying to push this is the aerodynamic benefit it will obviously bring them.

This was almost certainly designed by Newey and is probably Red Bull seeing which way the wind is blowing and deciding to get ahead of the curve development wise.

To assume this is just about safety is a bit naive

they'll keep talking about safety when they start getting 0.5 of everyone just for this canopy development

If the canopy is used, it would be a spec component, so the aero part of it would be the same for everyone.
