Astroturfs aren't good for safety. Here is evidence. Bring back grass & gravel traps.

one of those heart breaking moments.

Massa was close to victory in 2008 after completely dominating from 3rd on the grid. Car gave up with 3 to give if I remember well.

I thought it was when entering the very last lap

He retired with 3 laps left to go.

must have thought it because I watched the race on double speed

I'm sure when Perez said the new car would be right up there, he didn't quite mean that.

09:10 Perez has just spoken to Sky Sports, and from the sound of it he's not aware at this stage that his car suffered a failure. He seemed to be pointing the blame at dirty artificial grass on the outside of the track.

You wanna know the bloody annoying thing about Schumi's roll for me? I had been standing at that corner for the whole of the practice session (the tree to the left of Heidfeld at 40 secs). I literally walked away from the corner 2 minutes before Nick went off, heard the loud speakers say he had gone off, went running back and Schumi had binned it just before I got there. It would have happened right in front of me!

Force India won't be sending Hulkenberg out in FP2 until they have fully understood what broke & why on Sergio's car.

Perez won't be out in FP2, Hulk won't be out until they're satisfied his car won't have a similar failure.
