8 btw, the build-up was boring, but the final 20 odd laps were amazing. I like a race like that more than the other way around.

In the past all those races in Asia/Oceania began earlier than they are today, for example Australia at midnight, Japan at 1 am...later when Malaysia was added, I remember watching races at 2 am, China 1h30 am or 2 am....I can tolerate until 2 am, further than that it's problematic. This year I haven't watched any F1 race live so far....specially because on Saturday I spent the whole day on a course, I can't stay awake in the night. Anyway, f*ck F1 for ruining race times.

It's not as big of a deal as you're making it. Tape it or DVR it, go to bed, wake up, avoid anything that could spoil you, and watch it the first thing when you wake up. That's what I did, and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

You complain too much.

Either way, the race gets a nine. Thoroughly enjoyable race, especially the last bit.

Even better, look for a torrent of the race. It doesn't take more than some hours for the full race to come up. And you'll find way better comments the ones you'll find with the local comentators.

Worth an 8.

It was like going on a blind date with an ugly girl. The drunker you become the more attractive she looks.

If you can't be arsed to wake up in time to watch the race, then you're not a fan.

I think that's a bit harsh. Certainly there's levels of fanaticism, even in this forum, but if one cares about the sport to sign up for an account on a forum and discuss the happenings, they certainly must be a fan to some degree. Last year when I had Friday's off, I tended to go out shopping. Why? Because I have a greater interest in doing something with my day off than watching the teams bitch that the tracks too dirty to do any running and then complain that they didn't get any work done when they made the choice not to run. Yet. I'm sure there's others on this forum that watch every session. I work Sunday's, I miss 50% of the races, but I always watch at least some highlights. For others a job isn't worth considering if they can't work it around F1. Certainly, I don't go to the same level of care to wake up on time as I did when I was a teenager. Miss the GP, I can catch it later.

10 means that the race couldn't have been better. Can't agree with that.
Why do we include a score which is impossible to reach then? Seems counter intuitive.

I gave it a 7. The first 2/3rds of the race was as dull as dish water, but the last 1/3rd was 10/10.

I give a fair 7. Once again I say that, If I watched it live, my rate could raise to 8 or even 9. Unfortunately Formula One's decisions regarding the time of the starts in Asia lately favors the european audience but fuck with brazilian audience...How many of you woke up at 4 am to watch Chinese GP? No conditions...

This year's Malaysian GP was at 4am here

Should not watch more races drunk. Can't remember much of either Malaysia or this race.

7? Is that reasonable?

Last time I tried to watch a race drunk, it was in Valencia. Gave up after 5 laps.
