Rain is looking more likely for Saturday and especially Sunday.

Vettel will be flying then 8)

In the wet i bet Vettel, Hamilton or Barrichello, if he can get a good spot on the grid.

People who had first wins in bad machinery in wet conditions:

Button, Vettel, Barrichello (it was the number 2 Ferrari after all ;) ) Fishichella.

Not really helpful, championship form wise. :8:

If it's going to be full wet, Ferrari and Brawn are going to have trouble with tire temperatures. Red Bull, McLaren and maybe Renault and Williams are going to perform better in these conditions. So my bet would be on Vettel-Webber 1-2, Hamilton, Nico and Alonso after them.

Now Autosport have gone completely the other way and are now predicting a fully dry weekend.

None of Button's, Vettel or Rubens equipmenet was remotely bad for their first victory.

Button's BAR was hardly a Renault or Ferrari that year but it was just behind alongside the Mclaren as that late season proved.
Vettel's car was the one of if not the best last year in Italy. Proven by Bourdais having his rare moments of non shittiness but he fudged it by stalling anyway. He scored 30 odd points in 6/7 Races.
Rubens was driving the championship winning car for peat sake.

Does anyone have footage of that crazy Formula Master race a few years ago and willing to share it?

For the second consecutive year I won't go because of the rain :( At least I hope Bernie will put Rome on the 2010 schedule... I'll go there with rain or sun, it won't matter... Just because I want to eat again at Subway

P.S. Monza is so far away from here

The anti-stalling system didn't work.

And Bourdais did have more moments of "non shittiness" in his career : Melbourne 2008 (what a race !), Fuji 2008 (bad result due to Massa's n00bness), Monza 2008 (he had a clutch problem and the anti-stalling system didn't work), Spa-Francorchamps 2008 (he missed a podium because of the rain and also because he was threatened in his team), Shanghai 2008 (race over due to Trulli's mistake), Monaco 2009 (he had to drive a tank but he scored 1 point).

btw Fisico FTW this weekend :p  8)

Pure luck that he was in 4th after the final safety car.

50-50 accident as evidenced by video including onboards on F1 website.

He was unlucky, but for a car that performed so well in the wet he did little to improve on his position after lap 3.

His best race, and he was entriely unlucky when the rain came.

First lap incident, and Trulli came out far worse.

Anyway, this isn't about Bourdais, it's about Vettel's equipment last year, and the STR was more or less class of the field.

I should say that Fuji was not 50-50 though, since the onboard camera pretty clearly showed the Bourdais went way deep into the corner there and promptly tipped Massa into a spin while Massa left more than enough space on the inside. And if that was ever Massa's fault by a tiny bit then from that moment on whenever a driver finds himself on the inside he can charge down the inside however he wants to.

Wasn't Bourdais a lap down and the end of the train when he rejoined at Monza in 08? That would have made it very difficult for him to progress throughout the race.
