Heikki Kovalainen will give up his Lotus T127 to local driver Fairuz Fauzy during Friday's first practice session of the Malaysian Grand Prix, after losing out on a coin toss with Jarno Trulli.

THIS 8)

Sepang is one of my favourite circuit. Plus it tests both the driver and car. Hot Sweltering Humid conditions to add to it all.

Totally Agree

Still don't get why they start so late. I know the reasons, but everyone knows that it rains allmost every day in Malysia, in the late afternoon. So, fingers crossed.

I think that the only reason why it's still starting so late is that Ecclestone doesn't really care about the weather or the safety as long as it's not too early in Europe to have a lot of people watching and so...money, money.

Yeah, that's what I mean. I always enjoyed waking up early for a race. I don't really care wheather it's 04.00 or 14.00

In fact I like getting up early for the race. Then you have the rest of the day to do other things, like spending time with your girlfriend who hates F1 and doesn't understand that I want to sit in front of the TV on a sunny Sunday afternoon without her.
So please no night races at 14:00, Bernie you are killing my relationship.

I can fully sympathise with your situation. My "better" half is a vegetarian environmentalist, so she really frowns on me watching F1 eating a hearty full English breakfast. Put the races back to normal times!

I can go one better: my ex was a vegan enviromentalist. In her case, there was a definite emphasis on the mentalist portion of that phrase.

Djeez yes we get it, it rains every day at Malaysia.

Can people stop posting weather forecasts because they will remain the same.

Start discussing it 1 hour prior to the session please.

Why don't you just ignore them if it bothers you that much ?

It's hard to ignore something that appears every 4 or 5 posts.

I already have enough people on my ignore list lol.

I don't see how hard it is to skip a post that you don't especially want to read...

Lets talk about something else then. What do you guys think about Schumacher. Isn't he as good as he was, or did he have some bad luck last race, so he couldn't show his real pace? And specially for Fabs, I won't say that rain might be good for the rainmaster. Euh, wait...

he is good, but he needs a great car, jenson proved it, every driver is great, but he cant do nothing if he has not the fastest car, so simple, so all teams work hard to beat the rivals

Give him time. Fucccck lol. Can't judge him after 2 races back. He hasn't raced f1 in 3 years, especially with these new f1 cars, and a bunch of other stuff that comes with it, plus he is in a new team, and he spent so much time at ferrari, so that will take some time to adapt too. He already closed the gap to rosberg pace wise, he will just keep improving, then you'll see him on the podium more, and when or IF Mercedes can challenge for wins, i have no doubt he will win a race or 2.

I actually thought that, save the race (which was ruined for him by unfortunate circumstances) he looked really on it in Melbourne. Plus, people have a go at him for not being able to pass Alguersuari, but if you take into account that the lap time difference between the Merc and the Toro Rosso was, what, just over a second or so around that place and then consider the issues Hamilton and Webber had with Alonso when they'd been taking over two seconds per lap off him when they were homing in, it's understandable.

I think he's doing fine.
