Where's Verstappen got this speed from? He's way ahead of Ricciardo

The only problem now for Red Bull is how do they inflict more misery on Daniil.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I dare you, I double-dare you motherfuckers.

Give him a penalty and Jos will be around with a crowbar.

I guess it wasn't his fault, Bottas was unluck to find him at the slowest part of the track, he left it open

even with penalty, Vettel on pole

the heat is helping him, now only Verstappen can help him on a good start block on Hamilton

What a lap by Seb at the end! I thought Max had this one in the bag. Poor David Croft couldn't have sounded more disappointed if he tried when Seb crossed the line to take pole.

It has been reported (and supposedly shown on RTL in Germany) that Vettel had his DRS open outside of the DRS zones.

Max has also been cleared by the stewards.

Another impressive performance by Ocon. This kid is really impressing me with his confidence inside/outside the car, temperament and his rate of development. Definitely a future world champion in the making. Comes across like a genuinely likable chap in all his interviews too.

If it was then it was probably a failure as there are LED's on the wheel that light up when DRS is available & watching his lap the only times they light up is just before the 2 DRS zones.

However something I have just noticed is that Vettel looks like he pushes the paddle that he uses for DRS which is at top/left of his wheel not only at the 2 DRS activation lines but also at the start of the 2 straights before/after the esses. The DRS indicator on the telemetry stays 'off' & you would think that would light up if he was indeed using DRS.

https://www.formula1.com/en/video/2017/ ... _2017.html

Without trackside cameras or the rear facing OnBoard though its impossible to tell for sure if his DRS was open or not, However I'd think that if it was it would have been flagged up by more than just RTL & you know that Red Bull & Mercedes would be all over it as well.

I agree. For me, this is the biggest positive impression of the season and the guy who you can really like on the track and outside.

Aside from him being French, I definitely became a fan this year at the Spanish GP, I went to the pitwalk on Thursday but I arrived a little bit late and missed many drivers.
Ocon stayed until the end, walked the entire pit lane and stopped for every single person who called him, took selfies, signed stuff. I was with a friend, we called him, he came to see us, we wished him good luck for the race in French and chatted with him for a bit. He's a great guy!

He seems like a decent person, not some of these other stuck up wankers or pay drivers.

Darn good driver as well, which helps.
