Maybe he was still close enough to trigger the sensors? They'll investigate it visually maybe.

So I know that the points scoring is what it is, but I still look at the old top 6 as the points scorers. Yeah save any criticisms about getting withn the times, but under the old system Kimi would have a big fat ZERO points after 8 races.

Starting positions:

1. Rosberg
2. Button
3. Magnussen
4. Hamilton
5. Vettel
6. Hulkenberg
7. Ricciardo
8. Kvyat
9. Bottas
(Chilton)
10. Bianchi
11. Sutil
12. Gutierrez
13. Alonso
14. Maldonado
15. Ericsson
16. Grosjean
17. Vergne
18. Perez

Interesting for Bottas who made up some places. Could get near the top 5 later in the race.
Bianchi in top 10, but there are Perez, Vergne and Alonso from behind. Sauber's very hungry

Exactly. Drivers does this all the time, this time it went wrong. Thankfully there was no serious consequences.

Hopefully this accident will prompt a rethink on the way these run-offs are constructed. If this was caused by a curb or gravel you'd know that an investigation would be instigated.

Knowing the FIA, they'll replace all remaining bits of grass with tarmac and call it fixed.

More advertising space to market to potential investors?

Or they should stop blaming the racetrack and let drivers use that skill long-gone from all aspects of our modern societies: personal responsibility and common sense.
